It's not like he's a bad player.marc71178 said:If Manure are going to miss Phil Neville in any way at all it just goes to show how far off challenging the title they are.
He's nowhere near a good oneroseboy64 said:It's not like he's a bad player.
Well he's not a good one, and certainly is not a 50-cap one.roseboy64 said:It's not like he's a bad player.
The word is bench warmerroseboy64 said:He's a pretty good bench player.
Maybe that speaks to the volume of England's talent pool.marc71178 said:Well he's not a good one, and certainly is not a 50-cap one.
That's more when you don't play at all. Such as a sub goalkeeper.steds said:The word is bench warmer
or just the poor selections made by a series of inept managers.roseboy64 said:Maybe that speaks to the volume of England's talent pool.
Bit of both i'd say. None of the managers of 5/10 years ago had the talent available now that's for sure.sledger said:or just the poor selections made by a series of inept managers.
No, it stinks of big club bias.roseboy64 said:Maybe that speaks to the volume of England's talent pool.
I think I'm right on that one but there's better players availble now though than then which explains how he was able to get in.marc71178 said:No, it stinks of big club bias.
"Can" being the word. If that is the case then all football league pitches will be fairly empty next season.roseboy64 said:Looks like Wayne Rooney could be in trouble from now on. Like Sven Goran Eriksson?sledger said:or just the poor selections made by a series of inept managers.
IMO just as well as Rooney isn't a rugby league or union player where players don't answer back. They are aught to respect the ref's word or if you don't you get marched back 10 or your off. I mean you have player's bigger then the ref and still you use the word 'sir' - you also don't see 5 or 6 players hanging around in the ref's face trying to pressure him to make a decision. I mean you see Di Canio touch a ref and he gets a fair stint on the sidelines, over here rugby league players have hit the ref and get a 20 year ban (that I'm not kidding you it has happened and in some cases life). And for me the buck stops at the captain and the manager for not telling the players to accept his decision no matter if he is wrong or not. Sometimes I feel rugby is a more civilised sport then football (well in rugby the two fans mix with each other and don't start to fight each other if if they support rivial teams) or sit right next to each other whereas in football you have to sections to keep the fans apart or they will start fighting.roseboy64 said:Looks like Wayne Rooney could be in trouble from now on.
