yeah sounds about right to me, dont write him off just yet though.

I remember he was very effective when he went on loan to watford, i seem to remember he scored 4 goals in one game.

If Manure are going to miss Phil Neville in any way at all it just goes to show how far off challenging the title they are.
It's not like he's a bad player.

It seems that Jenas has handed in a transfer request and it looks like he wil be going too Arsenal or Spurs for around 10 million. This is further bad news for Newcastle who at the moment will be going into a new season still with a shaky defence and a strikerforce of a legendry 35 year old who wont be able too play all the matches and shola Ameobi who is never going too make the stepp up from reasonable too talent too good player

Bit of both i'd say. None of the managers of 5/10 years ago had the talent available now that's for sure.

No, it stinks of big club bias.
I think I'm right on that one but there's better players availble now though than then which explains how he was able to get in.

Looks like Wayne Rooney could be in trouble from now on. Foul language to an official can now result in a red card. I'm thinking Sir Alex needs to get him some anger management classes immediately.

"Can" being the word. If that is the case then all football league pitches will be fairly empty next season.

Like Sven Goran Eriksson?

If Man Utd want a new striker how about Roy Makaay? He started off well last night (I saw his goals and they weren't tap in's either) and is in fact a proven goal scorer who gets them from inside and outside the box and can hurle some stunning freekicks like I remember him doing for Bayern last season.

As far as I am concerned he is the most under-rated striker in the world (most certainly in Europe) when his job is too get the goals and that he does.

He's probably a bit too old. Still class though. Owen's easier to get though since he's pretty much surplus to requirements at Real Madrid.

IMO just as well as Rooney isn't a rugby league or union player where players don't answer back. They are aught to respect the ref's word or if you don't you get marched back 10 or your off. I mean you have player's bigger then the ref and still you use the word 'sir' - you also don't see 5 or 6 players hanging around in the ref's face trying to pressure him to make a decision. I mean you see Di Canio touch a ref and he gets a fair stint on the sidelines, over here rugby league players have hit the ref and get a 20 year ban (that I'm not kidding you it has happened and in some cases life). And for me the buck stops at the captain and the manager for not telling the players to accept his decision no matter if he is wrong or not. Sometimes I feel rugby is a more civilised sport then football (well in rugby the two fans mix with each other and don't start to fight each other if if they support rivial teams) or sit right next to each other whereas in football you have to sections to keep the fans apart or they will start fighting.

I got the impression when Rooney started mouthing at Graham Poll in the game v Arsenal how much of a wimp he is for letting him walk right over him. Rooney should have been given a red card straight away while he was mouthing off and anybody who stepped in should have been booked.
