Or the Newcastle job mebee.
Yep, that's a definite maybe. Although yer meedyah's maintained they were keen on Mo'N as first choice, unless they've given up waiting for him.

Mourinho spoke to some Man U officials and was told Rooney will be fine for the WC, I guess we'll find out late tonight or tomorrow for sure, but the signs are that he'll be ready. Ash Cole played a reserve game t'other night, Owen is kicking balls again...hopefully they'll all be ready to face Paraguay on June 10 and it might even be a blessing in disguise as they'll be raring to go. Just a case of getting them match fit.

Well if they are both injured, I'd play just one up front, possibly Crouch, I'd prefer Harewood, but I'm very odd, and get Carrick or Reo-Coker in midfield. Would give Lampard and Gerrard a chance to go forward more, they're both scoring masses this year.

Cole in the hole, Ashton and Defoe

Well Talksport may just have been sensationalist, so hopefully Owen will play:)

Never got Defoe, hes lazy and can't get in the Spurs side, seen him play live and his movement is non-existent.

Brentfords chances of automatic promotion seems almost gone as they let in yet another last minuite goal to draw with Hartlepool. Painfull to watch.

Just got to really hope Owen and Rooney are fit or England's world cup chances are very slim. Best two strikers around as replacements probably Darren Bent and Defoe. Id be tempted to just to play Bent on his own though he has done that pretty well for Charlton.

Nice to Southend go up, the one small plus out of the day...

Well. Chelsea outplayed us. We were ****. Rooney in all probability out of the WC. Brilliant.

We certainly weren't poor against Spain, it was just a tight game between two evenly matched teams.

And we didn't lose to Germany, we hammered them most of the game but couldn't finish them (which was a problem) and lost on penalties.

That was ten years ago....I feel old.

I was 7, and my mum didn't let me stay up to watch the penalties.
