What relevance does 1998/99 have to the current decade? 8-)

Yet you have the gall to say everyone else is stupid...

What's the common failing of France *and* the CDMs when the CDMs play in big games?

Answer: goal scoring

Which player is supposedly the best thing since sliced bread who happens to play for both teams and also is supposed to be such a brilliant attacking threat?

Answer: chief poseur

So that leaves one fairly obvious conclusion, chief poseur isn't as great as the hype merchants make him out to be.
Daft argument - change the Arsenal reference for Real Madrid and it applies equally to Zidane as I suggested earlier.

I stand by my earlier insinuation that you only rate players according to their scrabble values - hence Henry is only worth marginally more than Denis Law, and Pele is only reasonable because his full name is Edson Orantes di Nascimento and hasn't any J's or Q's.

I also think that continually referring to Henry as 'chief poseur' and Arsenal as 'CDM' makes you look a total prat.

I didn't say everyone else is stupid, but then that's the sort of rubbish you manufacture in your head because you're not intelligent enough to respond to or construct proper arguments.

Every time you post like this confirms you're a total prat. Do you think anyone calling Van Nistelrooy horse most of the time makes them look like a total prat? Or how about Manchester United as Manure? Or how about one of your beloved teams like Snottingham Florists? Snotting Florists and Manure are also far more immature than I've come up with - chief poseur is exactly what he is, as CDMs is certainly a more apt name than Arsenal... how many players do they have from North London again?

No it isn't, but I've got better things to do than teach you English.
So what is it saying then?

Everybody who rates Henry and thus gives him these awards is stupid.

Seeing as there's so many of them (both media professionals and his fellow professionals) - you seem to think that they're all stupid but clearly you're not.

Scolari has withdrawn his interest in the England job according to Sky Sports News.

"Stunned by the intrusion" and "upset by the furore" are quotes apparantly.

It's on the Beeb's site too now:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/internationals/4955490.stm

Not sure how much credence to give it as it wasn't four days ago he was denying ever meeting the FA despite it being public knowledge he'd attended at least one (and now actually two it seems) interviews.

Mansfield are in the lower leagues and still only have about 4 first team players from the local area
(although that number increases dramatically if you include fringe players)

And for the record - CDM is Cadbury's Dairy Milk...

They could make a day time soap opera based on the search for a new manager.

The FA really oozes professionalism huh.

I wonder if Big Phil would mind moving to Australia, there will be no reporters here to annoy him as they are all to busy stalking the latest AFL player busted for drink driving.

I'm not aware that I use the term 'Manure' - others do but not me - well, not that I'm aware of anyway. I also don't call van Nistelrooy 'Horse' - although I have referred to his disappointing showing at Aintree this year and his poor goals-to-nosebag return during 2006.

The term 'Nothingham Florists' is a perfectly acceptable 'local rivals' term (many Derby fans use it because it is considered unlucky to say their true satanic name without turning around three times) - and they have an equally tongue-in-cheek name for the Super Rams.

I blame the press - and the person at the FA who pocketed a fortune selling the original story to The Scum or The Times.
