yea Cole has looked good, but why has Sven subbed him?
That's what the vegetable does, he takes off the best players and leaves the duffers on, he's always done it. Although to be fair in these friendlies it doesn't matter too much other than it breaks up the rhythm of the team and gives the fringe players less chance to impress.

Cole had a fantastic game. I was also really impressed by Carrick. Ferdinand definitely had a poor one and I would have liked to see Brown come in for him, but even if he had he wouldn't have had much to do as the second half was mostly England attacking. Everyone else had a decent game, not fantastic nor bad.

Shame about Bridge, though.

Perfectly good performance by England. Lacked a bit of incisnvess at times but that will be improved with Lampard being in the side and Rooney and Gerrard were no whare near their best either. With those 3 at there best would have the little extra that was missing at times

Not disputing League 1, but I agree that they didn't get out of the Championship due to money.
Irrelevant, although they did have more money in the Championship.

The fact remains that if they hadn't had the money they wouldn't be where they are now.

And yet again you fail to see the reasons as stated before the game.

Why Brown?

He makes Ferdinand look good.
I take it you don't watch many Man Utd games. Ferdinand is out of form and Brown does more defending than anyone in the back line, solid defence too. On form, I rate Brown above Ferdinand.

And yet again you fail to recognise I was using the opportunity to point out another of the vegetable's bad habits, not using the game as an example of it particularly. Everyone knows how the likes of Beckham were untouchable in competitive games for a long time despite him frequently performing badly.
