I think the Quote Of The Season competition is over.

"Sometimes you see beautiful people with no brains, but you see ugly people who are intelligent scientists. Our pitch is a little bit like that." ~ Jose Mourinho on Chelsea's pitch.

Ten quid to anyone who can decipher that bad boy.
Obviously from the Eric Cantona school of talking to the media.

"A good pitch looks good, but has no effect on the game that occurs on it, but a bad pitch, whilst it looks unsightly, serves a particular purpose in affecting what goes on on top of it."

Whilst I'm not much of a fan because he plays for the club nobody goes to their home games (Sydney FC got more people for a agame against Adelaide then what Juventus got against Bayern Munich) and because they are simply Juventus, but Gianluca Zambrotta would pushing for a spot, and he is just as injured as Ashley Cole ATM or given the number of goals scored Trezegol?

He means that their pitch is horrible?

I will ask though, whenever somebody watches/has watched La Liga, does the pitch look a lot bigger then say in England or is it just the camera angle?

Yes and any side worth their salt would be constantly picking their way through that big hole where the midfield and defence should be.

FA Cup Draw:

Charlton Athletic v Middlesbrough

Aston Villa or Manchester City v Bolton Wanderers or West Ham United

Chelsea v Newcastle United

Birmingham City v Liverpool

Chance of revenge for Chelsea, would be good if Man City and West Ham get through - should be a pretty entertaining game if they play each other.

Those look better sides than aussie's.

Awful draw for newcastle cant believe that i ever imagined Alan Shearer lifting the FA cup in his last season. Just have to pray and hope for a draw and a replay

Go Newcastle!

Bah what's the point they will get thumped anyway.

BTW did anybody/has seen the movie Goal? Saw it on the weekend and it was vastly over-rated IMO.

Might as well add my footy dream team...

-----------------------------Buffon---------------------
--------------Cannavaro--Nesta----Terry------------
----------------------------Makelele-------------------
Ronaldo-------------------Lampard------------------
-----------------------------------------------Ronaldinho
-------------------------------------Henry---------------
------------------------Shevchenko---------------------

Don't know how it'd play, but it looks fine on paper. Shevchenko's my pick for second best player in the world. Ronnie's first. Tough to guage Henry this season with his limited oppurtunities. Losing Viera killed Arsenal's chances. Of course you keep the Makelele/Lampard partnership. Ronaldo probably needs no explanation since he'd be most peoples pick I'd hope. Buffon needs no explanation. Back three was tough... I could have picked Oddo but Fabio's more versatile. Nesta and Terry and the two best CB's on earth so I lumped them together.

Bench: Eh I'll go with Viera, Eto'o, Robben, Cech and Carvalho.

arsenal vs real tonight, think arsenal will be have done well to come away with a slender defeat, anything other than that would be very good, if they can score then that is also a bonus.

It really is time for the so called big players to come out and show themselves, i expect Henry to stand up and be counted. I would choose reyes to start this match, as if hes worth his salt then he will be well up for this match and will be desperate to prove himself back in spain and in front of potential suitors. Woudlnt be suprised to see Hleb get into the starting 11 this evening, no doubt that is arsenal will have to put in the hard work tonight if they are to have any chance of a meaningful result when real come back to highbury in a few weeks. Arsenal should aim to capitalise on a weak real defence although indeed they are very frail at the back without campbell and cole a huge doubt.

Yeah I was going to talk about the Champs League. As beefed up as Chelsea are. Juventus are my picks this year. Chelsea will have there hands full handling Barca.

As for tonights game. Real should win really... then again "they should" is a phrase used a lot with them. But yeah it's no secret that too much rests on Henry in big games this season... if Arsenal aren't there next season, I can't see Henry staying either. I could go on but wont... there's just to many reasons for Arsenal to lose.

All I'll finish with is Real are very capably of some aweful performances and maybe something would happen.

I want Barca killing Chelsea... should be an awesome game. Two of the top three teams in Europe right off the bat.

where that is indeed very true, one should make the observation that they are indeed capable of some truly self desrtructive performances as well and although i feel such a happening in tonights match is extremely unlikely this is something that will give arsenal hope.
