Jens Lehmann was unlucky. He was fantastic for 88 minutes but unfortunately Aleksandr Hleb decided that Luis Garcia would be better left three yards out in front of an open goal than marked. Liverpool could have won that by four or five.
He was brilliant!!!!! :( Even when he stopped Hamann's shot, he struggled to his feet for the rebound and that's not easy; unfortunately the hand he got on it wasn't enough to stop it. I hope his recent great form helps his WC bid. :( arsenal played like...well, they didn't really play. It was more of intensive training for their defence. The strike was damn near non-existant and it makes me sad. :(

But oh well. Looking ahead to Real Madrid...

Have to say, Fowler was beginning to look back to fitness IMO.
TBF he's always seemed to like playing against us.

Lehmann was huge, really deserved a clean sheet. We didn't derserve a draw, but he definitely did.

Fowler looked good, Morientes was God-awful.

I have to say I'm beginning to worry, because I found myself secretly hoping Liverpool would hammer Arsenal, and I've never hoped Liverpool win anything before. Especially right before the FA Cup 5th round.

Well i don't care about the FA Cup anymore this year, after my team lost against Birmingham. Not that it matter much anyways, I'll be seeing you in the Premiership next season babies.

1-0 to the scousers, wish someone would shoot Motson (either would do). At least when Jonathan Pearce gets overexcited he doesn't come out with the most stupid, gormless, painfully obvious comments you could possibly imagine.

"Oh I think that might have come off the inside of the post"

No, really, I thought the ball rolled across the goal-line by some freak force of nature

I heard when he said that. I remember thinking what a stupid comment it was.

Why am I feeling only happy?? Maybe because I did not watch the actual Smith injury...(was reading live text on BBC)...How badly is he hurt?

He's broken his leg and dislocated his ankle. As much as I dislike him, that's gotta hurt. :-O

Yeah was on Man Utd Chat on the BBC website...its sad...he's young and his world cup playing dream is over for now atleast...

He should get well and try to get revenge on Liverpool soon (and hope he doesn't have a good game, but atleast he'll be playing again)

A very cruel and cynical person might say justice has been done, after a fashion - he would never have deserved to go to the World Cup anyway.

I would never say that, though.

What actually happened?

Did he dislocate his ankle then fall and break his leg?
I didn't see it properly, but I think his studs caught in the turf as he went for a tackle, dislocating his ankle, and then the pressure put on his ankle by the fall was too much, meaning his leg broke. Very, very nasty. Not quite in the Cisse/Nilis league, but nasty.
