If there was a cut that was why he had to leave the field.
Ok, but I don't see the need for the stretcher and hordes of paramedics surrounding him. You'd have thought he'd broken his leg by the look of it.

***IRONY ALERT***

Pompey have signed nine players this month, including "new Maradona" Andres D'Alessandro. The scorer of Pompey's late equaliser tonight? Azar Karadas, his first goal of the season in his 13th match.

Still, I'll take a point against Bolton. Not that bad a result.
How much wa spent D'Alessandro and Wayne Routleridge?

How highly is Ryan Nelson rated in England?

My mate Dan Keat is back over at Blackburn for a month long trial. Fingers crossed for him.

D'Alessandro is on loan. I must say I was surprised that Portsmouth got him. For ages he was being linked to some of the bigger clubs.

I wouldn't necessarily say he's rated yet - just seems to sit in the Blackburn defence game after game without raising any remarks as such!

He was linked with big clubs before he joined Wolfsburg as well though.

Unsurprisingly, considering he's now one of the most talented players in the Premiership. Can't believe we've got him - superb player.

Nelson's entirely unremarkable. He's solid, but will never set the world alight. Most interesting thing about him is that he's a Kiwi.

Best of luck to your mate tho. :)

I had a look at a blackburn rovers forum and they all can't speak highly enough about him. They give him credit for helping turn around their defensive woes last year and say that he played better last season than this one. They were even saying that he would run close to a Blackburn all time XI.

Somehow I think that Marc and your views are much more reliable and on the money.

Let's all try naming an all time Blackburn back four.

Colin Hendry. Um...

Henning Berg, Le Saux...ok I'm out! :D

TBF I'd imagine your average poster on a Blackburn forum would know a bit more about them than me tho...

EDIT: Sam beat me to it. Bloody Norwegian mafia... :p

LOL, not often someone says that about me!

To be honest, he's there, but if it weren't for the Kiwi prescence on here I'd not even know he wasn't English with a name like that,

Souness sacked.

Surprised he hung on as long as he did.
So when will the players be sacked as well? Because when you are that level you should have the required skill level and be good enough and the manager can only do so much, and IMO they are equally responsible if a team loses, because it is the player who gives out the penalty, free kick, missed his tackle etc. not the manager.

I only hope Glenn Roeder has some idea what he is doing, but maybe not givemn his record at West Ham probably not.

If he weren't so busy I would have said James would still be dancing in a street somewhere in Wellington after their win the other day

Therein lies the rub.

/Out damned spot. Who let dogs in here?

The Souness sacking makes zero sense to me.

Now the window's over, Shearer and Roder have got no players they can bring in, whereas if they'd sacked Souness at the start of January, they'd have had an opportunity to bring players in. Now the window is over, they'd have been better off with Souness.
