Bloody hell. 2-0 to The Irons. Both mistakes by big Sol by the sound of things. Think I'll be opening a vein very soon if we don't wake up. :-O
I've thought for quite a long time that Campbell is a highly overrated defender. Mind you, so is Ferdinand...

And Sol spat the dummy? :baby:

"2125: Reports claim that Arsenal's Sol Campbell, who was substituted at half-time against West Ham, got changed and left Highbury without watching the second half."

This might be the end for Souey?
Wouldn't be surprised, they were booing again tonight at him and they are officially crap. Pity because I like the Toon Army.

Ferdinand off, commentators saying that Savage has got him sent off through his reaction. True?

***IRONY ALERT***

Pompey have signed nine players this month, including "new Maradona" Andres D'Alessandro. The scorer of Pompey's late equaliser tonight? Azar Karadas, his first goal of the season in his 13th match.

Still, I'll take a point against Bolton. Not that bad a result.

Ah I do hope the CDMs continue with this transitional phase. At this rate they'll struggle to qualify for the Champions League.

Massive errors from Campbell and Ferdinand in the space of 9 minutes....thank goodness for Terry and Carragher.
I think Carragher showed his importance tonight, by not being on the pitch!

By all reports he's not the only one - Van der Saar running 50 yards to jump the hoardings and grab the ball off the crowd?

From the radio he was lucky to be on because of a punch a few minutes earlier anyway

That's a pretty weak attempt at United-bashing Marc even for standards. :p

Not seen the 'punch' and thus can't fully comment like you can't but it wasn't really mentioned on the radio that I was listening to, what were you listening to? :)

Five Live - I clearly remember them saying Ferdinand has punched y.

And they also clearly mentioned Van der Saar.

Interesting as I was listening to Five Live Sports Extra covering the game and they didn't mention it extensively I don't think, there was a bit of argy-bargy just before where Ferdinand "pushed" Reid (?) and got his first yellow. That might have been construed as a punch? I would like to watch it but housemate has snaffled the TV and is watching Batman Begins.

Van der Saar did run into the crowd but it was because the Blackburn fans didn't move to get the ball nor the ballboys when United were 4-3 down so he went to get it. "Nothing to see here comes to mind".

What games do you get on tv over there in England then? We had the Blackburn vs Man Utd game live on Sky today and I'd always assumed that we just got the same feed from the UK but judging from all these comments that doesn't seem to be the case.

Ferdinand didn't throw a punch - he fouled the guy (Pedersen I think) and then blatantly barged him over when he was getting back up (right in front of the ref too). His second yellow was for a foul on Savage. Savage and Pedersen went to clear a bouncing ball, Pedersen got it first, then Ferdinand came in late with his foot high and missed Pedersen but hit Savage on the shin - who then proceeded to get stretchered off. There was a decent sized cut on his shin from Ferdinand's sprig but I couldn't see why he needed to be taken off the field for it.

It was probably on Sky but I'm a dirty student who can't afford £40 a month for it on top of buying a TV license so have to make do with radio coverage every now and again! :(

He was truly awful - totally to blame for the first two goals.

Marc didn't need to bash them - Blackburn Rovers did that well enough.

Ferdinand's challenge on Savage was truly awful - so bad, the referee was in my mind totally justified in rescinding his first yellow card as a reward, and as an incentive to do it again.

Personally, I think that no less than one but no more than two players per side ought to be allowed to hit Savage with baseball bats in the tunnel before any game (three if they are Blackburn players).

Er, just watched that incident for the third time.

Pedersen was indeed fouled and then nudged by Ferdinand, but he actually threw himself to the ground a couple of seconds later. He got up when he realised that it was the referee who had laid the second hand upon him - the dozy pillock had exaggerated a push from the ref.

If there was a cut that was why he had to leave the field.
