Gone, 3-1. No way back here for Donny - gutted. Lucky old Arsenal...
In fairness, that one was won because Paddy Kenny could only fall over one way...sledger said:although i still rate him as a poor player, not arsenal standard anyway, almunia really saved arsenal this evening with a series of decent stops, and again hes won a match on penalties for arsenal as he did against sheff utd last year.
Going on recent form, he is Arsenal standard.sledger said:although i still rate him as a poor player, not arsenal standard anyway, almunia really saved arsenal this evening with a series of decent stops, and again hes won a match on penalties for arsenal as he did against sheff utd last year.

Well in fairness, "Arsenal Standard" isn't particularly high at the moment.roseboy64 said:Going on recent form, he is Arsenal standard.
Which is precisely what he implied in the first place.Tom Halsey said:Well in fairness, "Arsenal Standard" isn't particularly high at the moment.
Clive Woodward as director of football? If he wants to go into football and all good luck to him, wouldn't he better off in being Burley's assistant or some other role where he can learn his job and more about football, instead of being in a role which ultimately decides who stays and goes from Southampton?Pothas said:George Burley has been apointed head coach of Southampton with Clive woodward as director of football. If all parties can get along then Burley is an excellent apointment

I'd like to know how Aston Vanilla can be the second-biggest club in England by any stretch of the imagination.Jose_Mourinho said:English super power, the second biggest club in England, 1982 European Cup Champions Aston Villa are likely to be taken over by an Irish consortium by the new year.
Joe Cole's been playing wide right for Chelsea for about a year and a half now. With two left-footed wingers and two right it doesn't make any sense to play a right-footed one on the left or vice versa, hence Robben and Cole are now first choice as opposed to Robben and Duff.aussie said:some interesting games between England big guns today:
Firstly Man U are in 2nd after a solid 3-0 win today, hopefully they will win their next 3 games in this festive period.
Chlesea were ran close by Fulham it seems, odd thing to see Joe cole on the right he looked good, seems a very good wing player.
Liverpool spoiled Owen home visit, saw a bit of it that defense didn't give him much room at all.
Arsenal will be glad to finally break their loosig streak againts an improved Charlton, reports say big Sol Campbell was solid presence at the back, very good to hear.
yea i have seen him their, but strangely i didn't realise how long he has been playing their tbh.Barney Rubble said:Joe Cole's been playing wide right for Chelsea for about a year and a half now.
