Another 5 for Mascarenhas. Averaging 49 with the bat and 23 with the ball... decent season that!

Anyone know why Warne has only bowled 8 balls from 50 odd overs?
Freddie is a poor mans Dimi. I've always said this!!!

Good effort by young Stuart Broad, 3 fer against Lancs. Definitely one for the future that lad.
Yeah, he slaughtered Sri Lanka U-19 this summer too. Took 10 wickets before Leics decided to call him up, so he couldn't play two of the Tests

316...and the muppet declares on 311*. No one has a record book handy, apparently.

Crawley now has three of the highest six scores for Hampshire - 301* against Notts at Trent Bridge last year (he likes Notts) and 272 against Kent at St Lawrence Ground 2002.

It's the highest score at The Rose Bowl by a fair stretch, though - Shane Watson held that record briefly with 203* against Warwickshire this summer.

Edit: Footitt 17-0-153-1 - and this guy is going to the Academy? He needs it, that's definitely for certain...
Mark Footitt is fast. Very fast, but nothing else yet. Raw pace can't be taught, but once you have raw pace you can hope to make something of it, hence the Academy-age.

Another great county player of the last 15 years or so Mark Ramprakash also might reach a tripple century today, no matter what people say sbout him as a test player it cant be denied that he is one of the greatest first class players this country has ever seen

Strange mixture of absolutely huge scores and pitiful scores in the County Championship.

Sutton obviously wanted to leave Derbyshire on a positive note...

Another good effort from England's own Bedi, Monty Panesar. 9 wickets in the match so far. If he learns to hold a bat he good be one for England in the future. Oh and learn to field. Not too much to ask. :p

Great finish of the county season for hampshire for what has been the best season of cricket i can remember. Udal 4 wickets in both ingins, crawley tripple ton and mascharehnas a great game with a ton and a 5 wicket haul. Just need to stay up in the totesport league now.

well now i've heard it all, in the times this morning "David Fulton has committee backing but is considering his future after dressing-rooom disagreements, as is Robert Key, who is wanted by Lancashire."

I knew it, he's heard of our pies!

Yea but why would Lancashire want him? Do some of their high-ups have a share of a pastry company?

Blackwell in flat-track bully mode...

102* off 68 balls, must have scored at least 101 out of a current partnership of 120

Sutcliffe, Chilton, Loye, Law, Hodge, Symonds - He'd replace Sutcliffe(who's probably been our most consistent batsman this year) and also means another season where our younger fringe players don't get the opportunities they deserve
