good to see Ali Cook finishing the season on a high
Yeah definitely. Next year should be very interesting for him. Stuart Broad got a few more in leics win against lancs. Will be good to see how him, Cook and Monty get on next year.

Do any of you support a team you think are so woeful and pointless in their direction that sometimes you want them to lose just so you can be proved right?

It's going to rain in Taunton soon so Derbyshire better sort these two wickets out if they are going to win..

whooooooooooooa Lancashire have won division two :D , now the boys must never be relegated again, it would have been better if they won it at home here but a win's a win....

haha, Brilliant stuff Somerset!

I've just been to fill my car up at the Shell station, and guess who was using the pump next door?
Haha, fantastic. I thought he'd gone home, injury or something?

Actually, I was sitting opposite Surrey's Neil Saker on the train today. He had Surrey CCC training trousers on, and was reading the latest TWC - I didn't recognise him, but I looked him up on the Surrey website and it looks like it was indeed Mr Saker, after trawling through the player photos.

Was going to go to the OD game against Derby on Sunday, but not after that performance.

According to Teletext:

"Northants spin twins Monty Panesar and Jason Brown became the first bowlers in more than a century to take 10 wickets each in a match"

Dunno if that's right and whether the 'more than a century' only applied the County Championship or what, the other slightly interesting thing was they took 5 wickets each in the 2 innings as well.

well Lancs might be in the game if Batty bowls much more, just gone for 25 in the over with 4 sixes including 3 consecutive from Stu Law

Somerset score big runs at home, big surprise.....they'll still lose, though, just you watch.

Rory Hamilton-Brown, the 18-year-old tipped as the new Freddie, plays only his second List A game for Surrey today - didn't bowl and yet to bat though.

Looks like Shane Warne will have to deal with losing the Ashes and getting relegated from the major English one-day competition in the same season. :D

The next Freddie, with a name like that? More like the next Bertie Wooster...
