Well we all thought you were boring, now there's proof!Neil Pickup said:He also thought my accent sounded like Mike Atherton, so...
It's not even a proper doosra though - it doesn't go the other way, and he bowls it differently to how Saqlain intended it to be bowled when he invented it.superkingdave said:lol at the sky commentators salivating over Louden's doosra
Very much so - I was there. A fantastic hundred from Jonathan Trott, a sparkling early fifty from Matt Wood (including one straight drive that could have been played by Tendulkar himself) and a thrilling run-chase by Somerset which was perfectly executed. J Francis and Durston needed 78 off the last 10 with 4 wickets left, and they got it down to 14 off the last two, before Durston smashed a six and two fours to enable 16 in all to be taken off Neil Carter's penultimate over, and Durston to finish off the game unbeaten on 58 off only 35 balls.jordyh said:Quite an entertaining finish there at Taunton.
Lol no I wasn't at the Oval.. I don't have the time for cricket at the moment..wpdavid said:I'm impressed. BTW I gather you were at the Oval on Sunday as well. Were you sat with the punters? If so, where?
He then proceeded to wind up his window and take the recently acquired Vauxhall Nova for a few doughnuts on the playing field..Pedro Delgado said:Started back at school today and for the first time ever kids were playing cricket on the field not football. It made me feel so proud. I love england!!.
I have a feeling it will purely because of television coverage, though with big names like Freddy etc there is a chance the appeal may stay. Can't imagine many people apart from ardent fans checking out the pakistan tour and keeping it up come winter time. I hope i'm wrong however.Pedro Delgado said:Hopefully it's not like the rugby where everyone was a fan for two weeks, maybe more schools will start playing the noble game again. Not that simple of course they need funding et al, but hey.
Kadeer Ali making over half of Gloucester's score in the first dig. Career average now up to the dizzy heights of 20.07!The Baconator said:Gloucestershire bowled out twice in a day by Notts, that doesn't happen too often.
I have an irrational hatred of Matt Hayden, and everyone hates Exmouth. But I hate Bradninch more.Neil Pickup said:I'm not sure it's entirely rational to be honest, but he's never struck me as one who's going to make it (maybe a slightly better version of Kadeer Ali) - and as old Barney's now picked me up on it, I've got two choices: a) back down or b) keep the stand.
That and he plays for Exmouth (boo)
I compared one shot to Tendulkar. If you'd seen it, you'd agree - it was that good! He had a bit of luck - James Anyon did drop a sitter off him - but he played some fantastic shots.Neil Pickup said:Yes. I can only assume you have full-size posters of him adorning your dormitory rooms. Comparing him to Tendulkar, indeed...
Very true he is the only member of the Australian side i dislikeNeil Pickup said:It's perfectly rational to hate Hayden

It may have been Carter, I was miles away so I couldn't quite tell.superkingdave said:I thought it was carter who dropped him early on?
anyway they were going on on sky that he averages twice as much at home as he does away
