surrey seem to be making steady, if somewhat laboured, progress against Leicester. They'll need Afzaal to put his foot down should he bat tomorrow, in order to give their young, lively attack the best chance of winning the game. Dernbach, Jordan and Meaker certainly has potential in my eyes.
Somerset in complete control of Sussex at Hove. Don't expect that to change too much tomorrow with Sussex's relatively limited attack, Chawla excepted. Sussex's strong top 5 will be relied upon to save this one.
With chances running out for Ian Bell to impress the England selectors, his fingers will be crossed tomorrow for a better day weather-wise. Blackwell continues to bludgeon a Warwickshire side that appears to have had little success with the ball this season. Woakes impresses, and has been unlucky by all accounts this year, but has lacked any major back-up in this department. Warwickshire's strong batting will ensure the draw though, barring any Harmison and Onions spectaculars!
Michael Vaughan has a start against Worcestershire with 21 on the board. Needs to bat a very large portion of tomorrow against a pretty decent Worcester attack, for Yorkshire's sake and his diminishing Ashes hopes.
