Expect the Dernbach lovers will be out in force
Only just seen the score but ... yeah. Still early days (both season and career-wise), but very encouraging. Given that he's done the demolition job that Nel performed in the last match, it suggests that he's found it helpful having Gunther around this season.

Strong position to end on, if the weather holds could turn out to be a very successful mini-tour.

Another 5-fer for Pushy.

Another Trescothick century for Richard to explain away by reference to (a) lack of ability and (b) luck.

Wright and Smith as 3rd and 4th seamers needs to be seen in the context of Lewry's return (hooray!) and the various spinners available.
Martin-Jenkins second seamer...

Yeah the cupboard is a bit bare. I think we have something like 10 seamers on the staff; the problem is that none of them is very good, except for Yassir who is injured and Lewry who is returning from glandular fever (and is 58 years old).

I was planning to go to the Tunbridge Wells game on Friday, twelve wickets on the first day aren't what I'd hoped for. Denly and Key both gone without scoring.

Fair to say the Lancs game wont be getting under way anytime soon. I live 5 minutes away from Liverpool Cricket club and its been raining none stop all morning. Was looking on going up there aswell. :(

Another season without the Championship thanks to the bloody weather :@

.......... mind you an inspired choice of a leg spinning overseas player might help - I see Moores left that particular ability behind at Hove

Prior gone after what seems to have been a good counter-attacking innings, and Sussex are now deep in the mire.

A long batting line-up, with last week's centurion Pushy at number 10, but Luke Wright at 6 does not inspire confidence.

The last 2 have both been 3 day game i think, and the one before that was a 2 dayer (I think the other two were against Sussex, Zaremba might be able to confirm)
All I remember is that we got absolutely exterminated there a year or two ago. As far as I recall it didn't take very long.

Just 36 overs possible at Leicester, with more showers forecast for Friday so it looks as if Surrey will have to do most of the hard work tomorrow. Naik of Leicester has a broken arm though so presumably only nine wickets to take. As for Tunbridge Wells, Friday's prospects are looking bleak but I'll see how the men of Kent fare tomorrow in pursuit of what I imagine will be quite a daunting target.

Graham Napier is showing England what they've missed recently after an excellent first two days against Kent (albeit in a different format). David Masters producing a typical performance, combining economy with penetration on a track seemingly right up his street.

Mark Cosgrove signing off in style from Glamorgan. His first innings century against Northants means his CC figures are currently 413 runs at 82.60, including two tons and three fifties. Over to you Mr Gibbs to follow that.

surrey seem to be making steady, if somewhat laboured, progress against Leicester. They'll need Afzaal to put his foot down should he bat tomorrow, in order to give their young, lively attack the best chance of winning the game. Dernbach, Jordan and Meaker certainly has potential in my eyes.

Somerset in complete control of Sussex at Hove. Don't expect that to change too much tomorrow with Sussex's relatively limited attack, Chawla excepted. Sussex's strong top 5 will be relied upon to save this one.

With chances running out for Ian Bell to impress the England selectors, his fingers will be crossed tomorrow for a better day weather-wise. Blackwell continues to bludgeon a Warwickshire side that appears to have had little success with the ball this season. Woakes impresses, and has been unlucky by all accounts this year, but has lacked any major back-up in this department. Warwickshire's strong batting will ensure the draw though, barring any Harmison and Onions spectaculars!

Michael Vaughan has a start against Worcestershire with 21 on the board. Needs to bat a very large portion of tomorrow against a pretty decent Worcester attack, for Yorkshire's sake and his diminishing Ashes hopes.
