Kent won by 5 wickets.

Only the last seven balls of the match were broadcast on Radio 5, who had the rugby on all afternoon - and even when the match finished, they spent five minutes talking about it! Then they had some motor racing news. Unbelievable.

Final going down to the wire - looks like this'll be a last ball finish.

24 wanted off 13 balls, and enter GO Jones. Where's GIMH tonight?

Geraint (or Geriant if you're a certain radio commentator) dons the red nose and curly green wig and slips over before being run out.

16 off 8...

Yeah, the pressure got to him for sure, a wide and a no-ball. All that messing about with his run-up didn't help.

So that controversial catch off Key wasn't decisive.

Carl Greenidge... very expensive. Every one else bowled pretty well, some exceptionally well like Lewis, Hardinges and Edmondson.

this year's Twenty20 Cup dint looked dat special..as da last year's one......Twenty20 Cup 2006 .. was a lot better.....N' especially da Final......wen Leicstershire's Allenby gave Will a high full-toss which was ova da waist .. N' Smith smashed it away for a six......Umpire gave da wrong decision......Leicster Foxes won by 4 runs......N' then da Umpire had 2 apologise.....so it was da real thrilling, dramatic Final.....yesterday's one .. was looking lik an ordinary one.....ther wasnt dat much spirit either.

As I said earlier and for the last World Cup - slow pitches do not make for good cricket - particularly in limited overs games. That slow, glued piece of rubbish served up yesterday was not good enough.

It was an awesome final in my opinion. Both teams deserved to go through too - teams which outshined outfits with individual stars but were not in the same class where playing as a team was concerned. Gloucestershire fielded so well for instance. I loved the intensity and the effort the players were putting too. I couldn't have asked for a better, more enjoyable final.

Kent lining up ryan mclaren for a 3 year contract, could effect his future with the eagles, expect him to follow the money and try to play for england one day.

Going by his comments on Saturday you’re probably right. Ryan was targeted as a possible replacement for Shaun Pollock in South Africa's one day side by Coach Mickey Arthur earlier this year but Gerald Majola spoke recently that the majority of South African Kolpak cricketers were no longer prepared to cancel their lucrative county contracts to represent South Africa.

Didn't want to make a new post about it, so ill post this here. But England U19 comprehensively beat Pakistan U19 today in the first test by an innings and 58 runs :)

Gloucs batsmen helping to dispel their T20 blues with a big partnership against Sussex - the highest 2nd wicket stand for Gloucs in all limited-overs games, as Bob Willis has just told us. 4s and 6s aplenty at the moment.

Only 266? The way they were cruising at one stage, they should have made around 280. I watched a few overs in the 20-32 overs period. No one was able to support Marshall after that partnership broke a see except Taylor for a bit. A pity that.
