***Official*** English Domestic Season 2007

Flintoff run out for three. Rotten innings, couldn't play Lewis, dropped once, nearly run out once.

Hodge dominant tho. Three fours in an over off Greenidge.

Second excellent catch for Gloucs - not as good as Spearman's - but it was hit hard.

150 will take some getting from here.

God the Five Live coverage is already irritating me, they have that rubbish woman on... because of course it's important they have someone female on regardless of how much the coverage suffers...

They're more interested in talking to someone in the crowd or some other gimmick instead of telling us what the hell is happening in the *game*.

Also this pitch already sounds piss poor, slow wickets in limited overs cricket are horrible - of course we don't want to see faster bowlers steaming in and doing well - lets see the dobbers get rewarded, fantastic.
Totally agree.

Edit

They just keep talking crap, they don't even notice that the bowlers changed until he's half way into his over. Sorry but they are really poor commentators, I know we're spoiled a bit with TMS but this is just dire.

Cross gone :)

They should get 150, but they need to get 170-180 - that's typically been the sort of total that has won matches on finals day.

Although having said that Lancs have a very strong looking attack, but I'm not sure whether this pitch will help Flintoff and Anderson particularly.

Edit: Now 4 down, oh dear

Two of the biggest hitters back in the hutch, and the fielding restrictions off - that's why I expected the scoring rate to slow a little.

Another one gone! Will they bat the 20?

It always annoys me to hear commentators - and the Sky brigade have just been doing it - talking about how many runs a side are 'aiming for' when batting first. Surely, the aim is to get as many runs as you possibly can? That doesn't mean trying to hit every ball for 6, just playing each ball on its merits and looking to play positively - going for the slog in the closing overs.

Good fielding by Glouc. . Lancashire should have played it a bit more safe after losing wickets for a bit but I think they can defend 148.

Gloucester cruise to a 8 wicket win, slow pitch didn't do Lancashire any favours - you just can't catch up when you set a low total on a slow pitch because you need wickets to do it and you can't force wickets on a slow pitch. Their poor batting display killed the game.

No cricket on 5 at the moment, even though the 2nd semi-final has started. And Talksport have something called 'Football First' on - well, that just sums up their modus operandi. They've probably had that on every Saturday for the last two months.

Good comeback from Malinga after an expensive opening two overs. Don't know if he was erratic or just unlucky earlier as I was out in the garden, with no cricket on the radio.

Go Kent!

Kent making a bit of a horlicks of this, 27 needed off the last 3 now - should have never put themselves in a position where they could lose by being restricted.
