It's only Durham though.

They're making a habit of choking it seems :)
Well there's not the class there to stop these things from happening, what with 3 players playing for England - helps a bit if you're a county that produces England flops, then these flops can play for the county more often.

So it is a loophole.

What happens if it rains on the Sunday and the game carries on till say 7.30.

Chapple has 3 overs left to bowl, what happens then?

The sensible thing is that he immediately joins that list of players until such times as he's not selected (ie after the ODI series)
Why does it matter? Chapple is not good enough for England, he's just a number of good County players (see Rob Key).

I'd keep Collingwood in the England side - he's produced some decent innings when needed and is a good fielder.
Just thought I'd use this opportunity for my weekly statement of my belief that Bell > Collingwood.

That will be all. :D

"Bowling from the Stretford End, the Brian Statham End and fielding at 2nd slip - it's Glen Chapple"

You've not done your weekly statement saying how brilliant Ramprakash is tho and how he was a better Test player than Atherton etc.

What the hell? When have I ever said that?

On the other hand, you could be comparing Collingwood to Atherton, which given the small number of Tests he's played, is just as ridiculous as comparing Bell to Ramprakash, for the exact same reason.

Shove off!! :p

Anyway, Charl Willoughby seems to have the bit beteween his teeth this week! 1st, 6 wickets against Sri Lanka, then 4 against Surrey. I'm sorry I ever thought he was crap (although he could still prove me other wise :D )

Bell = the new Ramprakash

If you're a fan of Bell you're a fan of Ramprakash, unless you're just partial to Bell's because of his resemblance to a gremlin

Bell isn't as prolific as Rampers in the domestic game yet. I would say that, given time, Bell will come good though.

I'm not a fan of Ramprakash.

And whatever your views on Bell, that still doesn't excuse the ridiculous comparison between Collingwood and Atherton! 8-)

I was comparing them in terms of making the best of their ability, as opposed to someone like Ramps or Bell who're like a rabbit caught in headlights despite looking good etc. when it means nothing.
