Not really, it'd be surprising if whoever ends up topping the group goes unbeaten - so Durham are still in contention.
technically they still are, but iirc it also goes on results between the two sides before NRR, so Durham have to finish with more points than Lancs to finish above them

Well it's unlikely now that Lancashire and Durham will be on the same number of points now anyway, but even a team just finishing on one loss with no washouts would be quite a performance.

I think there's one on the forum, and he's never been one to make a song and dance about it.
Best not to after Saturday's events. I'd like to say that I've always told you all how poor our "attack" is, but even I couldn't honestly claim to have expected them to concede 285 in 32 overs against the might of Worcestershire.

Still, you have to stop bothering after a while. I'll be going to see them play Hants at Whitgift in a couple of weeks. Good job Pietersen is otherwise enganged, or we'd probably concede about 500 ...

Talking about the C&G, I've just had a look at my TWC calender and there don't seem to be any semis - just the group stage and the final about 2 months later. Is that right, or have I missed them somewhere? Seems very odd to me.

Yep, no semis in the C&G 'cup'.

Right ho. So instead of some oneday games that the public would actually be interested in, we render loads of the group games meaningless and miss out on the semis & quater-finals. Nice one.

Naved and Mustaq in the wickets again, the way this is going England are going to be up against something special this summer.

Ahktar - Naved - Asif - Kaneria

Akhtar- Naved - Asif - Kaneria > Lee - Clark - Gillespie - Warne? There's one to ponder. ;)

Vettori in line to make Warwickshire debut tomorrow.

Lancs squad for County Championship vs Notts tomorrow:

Mark Chilton (capt), Iain Sutcliffe, Mal Loye, Stuart Law, Brad Hodge, Luke Sutton (wk), Glen Chapple, Dominic Cork, Tom Smith, Kyle Hogg, Gary Keedy, Oliver Newby.

I guess Newby or Hogg will miss out. Most probably Newby.

Be interesting to see what Vettori does this season, especially bearing in mind Giles' record in domestic cricket...

Certainly will be, and it will be interesting to see where they bat Vettori too. He could easily bat in the top six IMO.

He opens the batting for his domestic NZ side (Northern Districts).

I could see him at 7 or 8 to be honest.

The Warwickshire batting seems to always have a length to it (how else do you explain Streak at 9 or 10 most games?!)

Rana and Mushtaq (3 for 4) repeating the trick once more against Durham, who should lose by an innings.

With Mushtaq’s form and experience of playing in England, Pakistan would not be too wrong in selecting him. Even if Kaneria at this moment in time is a dead cert to play, considering how bad are boys played him last time round, Mushtaq performances this year are almost to good to ignore.

Also good news about Harmison, saw a couple of his dismissals on Sky Sports, looked to be getting up a full head of steam.
