Once again a Devon player saves Somerset. It is such a shame Arul was out for 99, he appears to have played a brilliant lone hand. Were it not for him, Somerset would be facing a huge deficit, now, however, they can grab a narrow lead. Somerset have all these young talents from their own county, but what did they do? Nothing, that's what. If Devon refused to give them Suppiah and Matt Wood they would be in deep trouble. They wouldn't have a single good batsman.

That is extremely harsh!! Anyway, he didn't play a lone hand - Blackwell got 49 & Richard Johnson scored 40. A lead of 314, with Leics on 145-4....should be an interesting final day!

It may have rained, but the Northants-Derby result is another point against Chris "Nostradamus" Hinton.

Looks like one (very improbable) unbeaten record concerning Derbyshire is likely to disappear in the C & G, the two games involving the other two unbeaten records could go either way. As I've said already I'd be surprised if any team remained unbeaten.

Huge blow for the Sky Sports commentary team when they go to Tauton. Charles Colville now has no reason to constantly worship Blackwell.

Sussex now the only team in the entire C & G competition that are now unbeaten. Just need Durham to win all their remaining games and someone else to beat Lancs and we're through to the final...

Vaughan's back tomorrow - so that's him in for the Test series vs Pakistan.

Collingwood's days are up I predict.

Are we looking at Tresco-Strauss-Cook-Vaughan-KP-Fred, then? Or Vaughan/Cook at 5? Seeing as KP and Fred being separated seems to have benefitted both so far - Fred in India and KP in this series.

Can't really move Cook from 3 now, so Vaughan drops down - maybe him at 5 as a straight swap is the answer if it separates the 2.

Surrey are doing well!

53/5 off 15 overs against Glamorgan!

Warwickshire seem to have let Northants off the hook also...Daggett took a couple of early wickets.

Somerset have named White as captain......that's a tad unfair on Matt Wood!

The good news about Cullen going off on Aus A team duty is that Som are talking to Graeme Smith :D woot.

Well to be honest Woody did a pretty poor job in his few games as captain - plus White does have the experience, and doesn't have the responsibility of opening the batting, too. We'll see how he goes.

And as for Smithy returning - a big  to that. :D

Fair enough. I haven't seen Som play this season yet, so I'm not really in a position to comment on it..

Very encouraging return for Vaughan scoring a quick half century.

James Bruce picked up 4-17 for Hampshire today as they beat Gloucestershire. He has done extremely well in Tremletts absence.
