And they're off. I had't realised that Mohammad Asif is playing for Leicestershire until Iooked at the Surrey scorecard this morning. And Simon Jones begins his comeback properly today, opening the bowling for Gamorgan against essex.

Why isn't Bell playing today? Surely he needs some runs under his belt after his lack of form in India.

Sussex at 130-4 thats not bad so far from Hampshire but they really need to get Adams out or they might get a half decent total.

i reckon thats a weak lancashire batting line up
regardless of today's play, I don't agree. It'll look better when Hodge comes in for Horton true, but i think the top 5 is pretty solid. Last year we had Chapple coming in at six and cork at seven which was too high but they are pretty decent for 7,8 especially with Smith coming in at 9. Sutton is a decent enough no.6, thats why we signed him.

Anyway, going along well now, bit of a wobble with Loye and Horton going with the score the same, but Chapple seems to be continuing his good form and the 300s up

* CHAMPAGNE CORK - Former England all-rounder and Lancashire regular Dominic Cork is renowned for his colouful opinions and each week on Cricket AM, he'll cast his eye over the best - and worst - moments of the week.
