*Official* English Domestic Season (2004)

Tim

Cricketer Of The Year
Adams has also taken a wicket in only his 2nd over for the morning..1/11 off 3.4 overs. Good to see some fringe players putting good performances on the board.

Or does it say more about the poor standard of County Cricket?

A quick glance at the Warwickshire batting averages for the CC this year says volumes for the quality of the bowling that is around:

Powell 97.66
Knight 93.20
Giles 70.00
Bell 66.58
Hogg 65.87
Streak 61.00
Trott 60.70
Frost 54.40

Even Neil Carter is averaging 31.57!

Solanki had an excellent game on Wednesday against Middlesex he got 80 and got two run outs and took a Stunning catch, the man is in form it time for the England Management to pick him against India as he is a Very good Players and hopefully this could prove Marc and Neil wrong

Kabir is getting into form at just the right time considering he missed the first few weeks of the english season.

Both should be in the England one day setup against India and hopefully for the ICC trophy as well. Bell should get a chance as well lets see how good he really is. He could develop into a good Batsman who can bowl.

Yes if Frost can average 50 then the bowling is poor

But still not poor enough to help the great Kadeer:

10.25 this season, 17.63 as a career now (and that's 29 games or something like that)

Yes, he's also had 2 good performances in his whole International Career (21 ODIs isn't it?)

No amount of runs in Domestic Cricket will change that.

I'd say Kabir has even less chance than Solanki of getting in.

We have a large number of pace bowlers ahead of him.

Marc Kadeer is a Better player then you so stop being like that, LOOK in 2-3 years Kadeer will be in the England Side
What a great comeback that is.

He's better than me, wow - there's only about 55,000,000 people in England better than me, so he's achieved something there.

In 2-3 years, he'll be lucky to even be playing County Cricket if he continues like this.

And now he'll be in the England team as well as Davis.

So which 2 middle order players will they replace, and what will happen about the countless players are ahead of them in the pecking order at the moment?

Who do you think will be in the England A/Academy side this winter

Names to ponder

Alex Gidman
Jim Troughton
Scott Newman
Nadeem Malik
Mark Lawson
Mark Wallace
Basil Shayafat
James Hildreth
Naqqesh Tahir
Moeen Munir Ali
Will Jefferson
Ali Cook

any more?

Look ok marc i may overrate them a bit but i think that both have great Potenial
Thankfully for England, so have the selectors, so they won't be swayed by their outstanding county form (!)

And if you're over-rating Kadeer, does that mean that he's actually not as good as me then?

Yes, and like the gap between Domestic and International which means runs at Domestic level don't mean much compared to how they're made, there's a gap between Youth, Club and 2nd XI and the First Class Game.

He's played 23 matches now for an average of 17.63 - how long a run does he need?!
