Could someone please remind me how far ahead of the field Warwickshire are in the CC?

I belive it's something in the range of 40+ points on level games (and 50 or so ahead of the best team with a game in hand on us)

Lol. Why don't you support Essex? No players ever having to go off and play for England - awesome! :p
But it is also a sign that Essex don't have any players good enough to be picked for England since Hussain retired.

Good ol' Ian Bell and Dougie Brown. They really rescued it for Warwickshire today. Bell made 106, whilst Brown made 120 - both were not out. They finished the day 308 - 4 after being 92 - 4

Its funny how healthy Englands batter looks now. The current team are doing well and we have Butcher / Pieterson and Bell in reserve.

I'd say Key is the reserve mate...not Butcher. Key is yet to prove himself as an international player. That 200 could have been a one-off and it would be back to the old useless Key. Strauss on the other hand HAS proved himself. But yeah, I'd agree that our batting looks promising.

At this current time tho Key is in the team though :) But you get my drift. I just hope Bell can break into the side early and not when he's about 28 and we've missed a good few years of him, which seems to happen alot to promising english batsmen.

Bell will come in when Thorpe retires I guess. Would also like to see Troughton back in the side... I know he never got going in the one-dayers but he looked class at times.

92 tomorrow at a little over 3 an over with Dougie in and it's another maximum.

I wish I'd backed the Bears at the start of the season - that batting line-up is getting silly now (I think we have 9 with CC averages over 50!)

I'll have to make do with tickets behind the arm at Old Trafford - can't wait!

I'm behind the arm at Edgbaston... First Test match...wooo. Warwickshire seem to be well on course for the Championship at this rate - but I won't write the others off completely...

How much longer can Bell be kept out of the England team? What a season! Yes, yes, I know others have had better, but Bell as being criticized about his runscoring ability coming into this season and he's responded nicely to say the least.
