Am I right in thinking this all 3 of them playing their first game this season?
Yep.
Also rather concerning is the fact that on sky today Trescothick was interviewed and said his first game this year in england will be the first test (if picked). Now i find it quite shocking that one of main batters is gonna go into a game having not even had one innings to try and re-acclimatise(sp?) to the conditions. I doubt he's gonna be the only one. Also with the above 3 having got out for 0 they wont have had much practice either. I cant see how any amount of Net sessions can make up for proper cricket out in the middle.

It is a bit worrying. The Tourists are more used to the conditions than we are, which kind of remove home advantage.

Then add in the Lord's thing for the First Test and I may be wagering on NZ.

Hampshire have a red-hot bowling attack and on the minefield that is the Rose Bowl I can see some very low scores and a lot of wickets this year.

Shane Warne is the only reason for the success of Hampshire
Michael Clarke with only 2 big scores so far and a series of
ducks and low&cheap scores . sometimes makes alot a ducks then makes
some what 50ish from 30 balls Freak 8-)
AD Mascarenhas is also a good bloke took alot of wickets in the derbyshire match
As shane had left for australia lets see what happens to hampshire
now :p

I doubt he's the sole reason.

Will Kendall and Michael Brown have played some crucial innings, and Mascarenhas, Tremlett and Mullally have all bowled well.

James Hildreth hits 1st 100 for Somerset as they rack up 375 against Durham...

Its a weird feeling seeing someone Ive bowled against at college hitting 100's against Shoaib Akhtar... :s

Jimmy Anderson gets a fifer against Worcestershire for just 35 runs off 13 overs at the moment. Why the sudden change in form!?!?!? :@

He finished with 6-49, but it's only Worcester.. Fantastic to see nonetheless :)

Four bowled and one LBW (other caught behind) is also a nice sign!

If I were a Surrey fan, I'd be looking for a rope and a tree.

Warwickshire 493-6
Brad Hogg 156* (160b, 19x4, 1x6)
Ashley Giles 60* (116b, 4x4)

They've added 187 in 156 minutes for the seventh wicket!

Good day for the english boys, hussain and butcher out for ducks, collingwood out for 9! At least Johnson and Anderson are giving selectors some ray of hope. Always a chance of a recall for Ealham though!
