Keep up the runs we need 600-700
Harry Brook?Adair's been really disappointing today. Hume and hand not as much, but you expect more from an experienced bowler of his quality.
I still don't wanna read into duckett's runs TOO much given that he bullied a second string pak bowling attack on roads, an NZ side missing boult, Jamieson, Henry for a game and a past it Wagner, and an Irish bowling line-up worse than the one that made leach and Roy look like top 3 quality test bats, but it's been amazing how he's came straight in opening the batting and looked fantastic. Would Root have been the last person to do that for England?
He qualified it with 'opening the batting' tbfHarry Brook?
Oh mate, I’ll be in clover. You’ll be a no show on hereYou won't be enjoying the Ashes
Was going to qualify my post and ask if Nintendo specifically meant opening. But it's a bit of a stretch naming Joe Root there......he was reasonably established before he took the opener position in the 2013 (?) Ashes and scored that big ton at lords. And it he didn't stay in the role for long.He qualified it with 'opening the batting' tbf
These two have also just been alot more composed then Crawley, tbf. Crawley's control rating was way lower and made a quarter of his runs from outside edges .Boot filling exercise for our top order.
Scoring so many runs that it makes Crawley's half century look like another failure.
Play yer drafts and read yer @fredfertang articles if you want internet points, kids. You've got most of 'em, and the '61 guy is not someone obvious, so rest easy.
List here. Forgot to mention earlier I added a 500 run filter to rule out those who only opened for a couple of tests.
Now that's totally unfair.Crawley made a quarter of his runs from outside edges .
Let's hope it doesn't translate into what happened to Bell 1.0 in the 2005 Ashes..........(is MF around?)Another century for Ian Bell 2.0.
