I think that's why the talk of Monty usurping Swann in the team won't happen. His fielding will never be good enough.
He's even picking out the fielder to lob up high catches to as well. This is a ****ing clinic by Jayawardene.
Must be the first sticky wicket in Sri Lankan test history? This pitch seems a little spunky but we're certainly 100 short here.
Or his bowling tbh, regardless of what's happened in the last two and a quarter Tests.I think that's why the talk of Monty usurping Swann in the team won't happen. His fielding will never be good enough.
lol, I was in a hostel in Australia watching this at the time. I went absolutely mad, dancing around. Never has a wicket in a warmup being celebrated so wildly.
Can't comment about Wettamuni, but Atapattu was a touch too slow for my liking - had a silken touch no doubt.Mahela has far superior watchability than Sanga because he plays spin well, and Aravinda (because of lesser slogs). But he has very tough competition from Atapattu and Wettamuni if it comes to esthetics.
reminding me of clarke's 151 (except no way near as good)This is a ****ing clinic by Jayawardene.
It makes you wonder wtf has been going on at Panesar's counties for the last 10 years or so. No professional cricketer should field that badly. If Monty hasn't learnt how to catch by now, it's never going to happen.
Reminds me of Sehwag at Galle in 08.This must be fairly high up the list of greatest percentage of runs by one batsman. Welegedara is not helping this as I speak.
