I think that's why the talk of Monty usurping Swann in the team won't happen. His fielding will never be good enough.

You're probably right. But it will be an intersting call if Swann's 2011 decline continues and if Panesar significantly out-performs him with the ball in this series and in India later in the year. If you're only playing four bowlers, there's a decent case for making it your best four.

You'll remember Chandrasekhar from India's 1970's line-up. Fielding wise, Panesar vs Chandra might be a close call.

Broad's bowling over his last 8 Tests has been h4x, and he's bowled at better batsmen and in tougher conditions than Philander.
