Mr Casson
Cricketer Of The Year
People who have limited success or are "one summer wonders" are usually so because for a period of time, everything was going right for them, but they didn't understand their own game. Therefore when they are found out or lose form, they don't know how to get back to the top again.bryce said:i know but i'd never seen him play like that before, previously he always seemed like one of those englishmen that were only kept in the team because they were labelled 'the next botham' but seemed almost mediocre(in test matches anyway), then that summer he was a completely different player - smarter as you mentioned, just a question of whether he can keep being that consistent
Players like Flintoff have all the talent in the world and he doesn't have a half bad technique, either. It's up to him to approach the game as intelligently as possible to be a continued success. I think he fairly well knows his own game, which is why I think he will continue to be a big player for England.
