AFAIK, the Muslim Asian population is part of the "previously disadvantaged" sect.. They certainly didnt have the rights that the Afrikaaner and British population had.. So yeah they would probably come under the quota system..

The dropping of Tsolekile for AB was certainly a welcome prod for the quota debacle anyway...
Damn... that joke fizzled eh? lol

But it wouldn't have happened if Gibbs hadn't been fit!

its been good stuff to watch....there is obviously something in this pitch for the bowlers to enjoy. The key is for England to hit the right spots straight away..not 10 overs in, but straight away,
this pitch does seem like its custom made for harmison. its too bad that he only has 140 runs to defend thanks to some of the most pathetic batting from vaughan, flintoff( who btw has shown none of that maturity from the summer on this tour) and jones. trescos failing is hardly surprising and butcher is simply butcher. im amazed at how batsmen can be stupid enough to keep going for the pull shot when they are not set and seeing that everyone else who had batted earlier had problems with that shot.

what's the wicket like there? can't help think south africa may have blown it but i won't give up my hopes yet with a couple of decent batsman still there and one to come, go south africa!
btw here's a maybe premature thought, flintoff one summer wonder?

I think you're confusing form with maturity. The way Flintoff player in the English summer was not just better; it was smarter.

Yup, although it shouldn't take a genius to work out that taking the aerial route before you're properly in or when there's fielders there for the shot isn't the smartest way to go about things. I really hoped he'd left that sort of nonsense in the Caribbean, but apparently not. Right now, Fred looks a liability at number 6 (crosses fingers and hopes that will bring about the inevitable match winning 100 in the 2nd innings).

i know but i'd never seen him play like that before, previously he always seemed like one of those englishmen that were only kept in the team because they were labelled 'the next botham' but seemed almost mediocre(in test matches anyway), then that summer he was a completely different player - smarter as you mentioned, just a question of whether he can keep being that consistent

154 for 6 now, and we're going to need something spectacular to stay in this match. I wonder if Butcher & co are learning anything from watching Kallis take the game beyond them.
