***Official*** England in Pakistan

I am trying to find a bookmakers willing to give me odds that KP will fall to Kaneria again!

Strauss, Bell and Collingwood are the "steadier" players and really need to bat for a long time (which I back them all to do on this flattish deck).

1-0 England and £30 for me, with any luck.

Yes, coming in at 200odd-2 after Bell was unluckily dismissed in this game was really battling a draw.

I bet that even if Bell goes onto 120* tomorrow, you'll still say Collingwood should stay in.
I bet whatever I say tomorrow you being the ultimate muppet will manage to completely ignore what I say and come up with some utterly irrelevant rubbish. Where have I said Collingwood should stay in or not? Where did I say he was batting for a draw earlier in this game? Have you ever actually read any post properly in between your seemingly endless number of pointless posts?

Pathetic lower performance today Yousuf and Raza really dissapointed. Hard to see Pakistan winning unless Shoaib rolls back the clock 2 years.

The the past few years england have normally been very agressive chasing 4th innings totals under 200. With the pitch not as bad as what people expected it to be i wouldnt be surprised if we do the same this time.

So do I (without the 'runs away and hides' bit)..

I have just this minute come back from the kitchen after starting off the fermentation process on 3 gallons of Dogbolter. It's dark, definitely somewhat exotic and in a fortnight's time I won't even be able to SPELL 'Castle'

Or Donnington probably. Or North Leicestershire.

England big favourites now - pretty good considering at one stage Pakistan were 280/3 or something like that. Pitch still flat as a road, should be comfortable.

However, without Trescothick (the main run scorer) England might struggle to find the runs, what with Pieterson, Collingwood and Strauss out of form

Strauss scored a century in his last Test match. Collingwood is **** in Tests. Pietersen scored a century in his last Test match.

If you include warm-up matches, you have a point, but I'm not as they were played on green-tops where no-one (Tres aside) scored runs.

These are completely different conditions, all of these batsman have struggled in Pakistan. Besides, their last test was a few months ago, you can easily lose form in that time.

Is it me or does anyone else find it strange that the one spreading the collingwood love about is the same person who started a thread titled 'who is more mediocre than atherton or hussain'?

If England can score over 400 in one innings then i think that under 200 on a pitch that has hardly done anything all game is not going to be difficult. If Pakistan are to pull off an unlikely win then Kaneria will have to bowl an awful lot better tomorrow than he has done so far.

Yes but there's nothing to suggest they have - they've just had a few bad innings (including the green-tops).

Nope.

It's only like me and Corky (who incidentally was a far superior player to Collingwood and is in all likelihood the grea.... voice fades into distance)

I think it was closer than you are all making out.
That's what I thought initially, until I saw the reverse angle (which the 3rd umpire also saw) and it was quite clear with that.
