He scored 57 and 64 in his first test match, 71 and 20 in his second, 21 and 0 in his 3rd 45 and 23 in his fourth and 14 and 158 in his 5th. A few bad innings granted but averaging 52.55 and scoring 473 against Australia In his fist test series I wouldn't say "he contributed nothing".
