Who was the guy that was measured at 22 degrees straightening in lab tests, before their remediary work? Was that Shoaib Malik, or was it Shabbir?

That English confidence is a fragile thing.... :p

Seriously, I hope it's an exciting finish, although I kinda think England will wipe it off a little more comfortably.
 :)

Well I felt the leggie would have a say, looks like he's going to.

It's really all about Udal getting to hit the winning runs, so that he has something to remember his Test career by. It's also about Andrew Flintoff sealing off that Man of the Match award comprehensively.

Yeah, every asian (pakistani in particular) who is a sign of danger for English & Australian batsmen is a chucker.Every current Pakistani bowler is a chucker just as Wasim & Waqar were ball temperers.
Funny how his major accusers in this test are Pakistani commentators.

:D

Except I have to disagree - it's all about England being 100-9 before Harmy smashes a 30-ball 70 to win it. :p

Why is Collingwood coming in at 4?
Because that's the way Duncan Fletcher does business. He did it with Bell during the Ashes too (2nd Test). If a player fails in the first innings, that's no reason to shaft him down the order the second time around (unless he's a tailender/night-watchman). Even if the situation is tough, you show confidence in your players and ask them to do the job once more. IMO it's the right way to go.

Now this is interesting.

With Freddie and KP together, at least they'll play their shots.

Disappointed with Bell's dismissal - lame way to get out after playing the spinners really well.

Strauss is just not a great player of spin.

Colly - last drinks anyone?

well intersting perido this for me England two most aggresive batsmen together with Kaneria & Sami bowling well. If these two can survive this testing period England will be on their way, if not Pakistan could well and win this...

Well, my question extends to the first innings as well, since Collingwood came in at 4 there as well, IIRC. I would have thought Pietersen would have been a better option.

But with any luck he'll be batting with Udal, who will still hit the winning runs. Harmison can't deny an old man his dream.

Sad shame that he was dismissed by Sami. At least go down with grace man!

Same here.

... and same here. Bwahahaha!

*has howardj's dismissal of Pakistan as consistently poor and without heart on standby for quoting*
