Haha. Great report there. I really hope Inzi and Mr. Yousuf score some runs in the second innings to give England a fight else I will skip the 5th day. ;)

All rests on Inzy and Youhana (I refuse to keep up with all these name changes these days!) realistically... but I can see Butt being another obvious obstacle.

England could win this game in the first session, or we could have a real game on our hands. How exciting.

So, the first day i've not seen the whole of, and Pakistan really showed up today, infact i probably saw the best part of the day for England - got up just after the Pietersen wicket and left for work at lunch. Don't think ill get up early tomorrow, catch half an hour or so before work.

First hour crucial, get through it an Pakistan are in the driving seat, lose a couple quickly and England are back in front. Don't fancy us chasing more than 200

Well now i'd say England have a slight advantage since they still have a lead. All they need to now is restrict Pakistan to a maximum lead of 150 or so & England will be on their way. For Pakistan they have to try & set Englad around 200-250, thus Inzi, Youhana, Butt, Raza have a lot of work to do.

Either way a very good finish to this test will be in store...

England should be strong favourites, they've been in this sort of position so many times over the past couple of years and have nearly always come out on top. Pakistan still have to score a minimum of another 150 just to make a game of it - unless Pakistan score quickly they'll need to see off the second new ball just to achieve that minimum.

nice to see pakistan are using an england tactic by using a bowler to bat in an earliar order (hoggard).

we really need afridi

or perhaps ever heard of Night watchman? they are not using engalnd's tactics, its something teams have been doing for god knows how many years

Good to see that tool Pietersen falling cheaply, for a change..
I was reading your comments a couple of day ago after the Bristol ODI in the summer.

They took a slightly different tone at that moment in history. :p

Right...

Lets say Vaughan is back for the next one...

Bell or Collingwood?
Or play both and drop Udal?

will it take a great england performance to win this game now? or do they just need to keep doing what they are doing?

it seems to be heading for a draw atm.

Wait til this Test is finished before picking the team for the next one. Who knows, Bell might actually get a big lbw shout or a bowled off a delivery that isn't a no-ball, or one of his horrid scoop shots might not just fall safe. For a guy that supposedly 'played well' he had far too many lucky escapes.

I wouldnt say a draw, alot depends on 1st session this morning, if pakitan gets lead of 250 or there abouts it will be tempting for england and they wont play for a draw, so i would say all three results still possible.

I don't see how Pakistan is on equal footing at the moment. They are 2 down (likely three before long), still 19 runs in the deficit, need to play out the whole of today AND score around 350 runs to have any chance of winning the game...
