Pedro Delgado

International Debutant
To be fair to Tres at the start of his career one of the positives was his ability to leave the ball (well, he "left it" by playing down the line of off). Whilst I agree with all the chaps backing him, it must be said that he's had the benefit of playing against Bangladesh.....whatever, he is quality as a batsman and a as a chap.

According to Allott, Vaughnie had a net, so come the 2nd test, hopefully Collingwood can just spend all his cricketing time as sub-fielder, his rightful position.

Interesting to see that sudden change in batting order from what we were expecting...
yeah, BTW, I am actually saying that Pieterson should be played as a regular no.4. It still feels uneasy watching the slowest batsman in the side batting at 4.

I do go the stadium yesterday. Loads of people around, great atmosphere, people cheered every single shot played by Inzamam (except for his last one), every dot ball bowled by Mohammad Sami (were there any?), any ball that looked remotely like it had the englishmen in trouble and to their credit, many good shorts played by both Bell and specially Trescothic.

Xubaib,

Nah, I wasn't among that lot. (You are talking about the guys in white tee-shirts, right?) There was very little ribbing on the Englishmen though Pieterson copped a couple of insults, most were reserved for the home players.

Dear Pieter certainly didn't pick that one.

Probably Kaneria's best over.

Edit: Spoiled by one last ball.

Oh, well.

Edit 2: Hallelujah!

Sami is bowling good lines but England are clearly trying to unsettle him by playing some attacking shots and hope he loses the plot.
