Don't single Tendulkar out.

In this test, the entire Indian team failed to deliver under pressure, with the exception of the bowlers in the second innings who kept a tight rein on things despite some farcical fielding. From start to finish, this was a match when the entire Indian side was consistently outplayed and outthought by England.
Worst cracking-under-pressure case? Dhoni. His attitude at the crease was not only stupid and reckless, but irresponsible, immature and cowardly. As it stands he's nothing more than a brainless slogger, and as such has no place in an Indian Test lineup, especially not at number six. He has a hell of a lot to learn before he's worthy of the spot he currently holds - especially seeing as his wicketkeeping isn't exactly excellent.

It's called strength in depth. A new England player who didn't get two failures or figures of 0-100 was a massive exception in the dark days of the nineties. Who was the last England player to seriously fail on debut? (other than Blackwell but i blame the selectors for that aberration).
Even the likes of Anthony McGrath and Ed Smith did well on debut, even if they faded soon after - last guy do really do badly on debut was probably Kabir Ali. He got 5 wickets in the match but bowled terribly. As for batsmen, our recent record is nothing short of outstanding.

Unless Panesar promised Dhoni lifetime supply of Milk, that shot in the same over was an insult to the word "Deja Vu"
That doesn't really answer the question though. :p

You surely don't believe Dhoni was justified in doing what he did?

Udal & Plunkett. Have to go back to Bob the blob before that, though.

Much too harsh. Yes, it may have been a brainless shot, but cowardly? And I think he's shown that he is more than just a brainless slogger....give him time to mature, I don't think one match is enough to write off anyone.

Excellent call, without that knock we'd have lost the series I think and who knows what would've happened.

It's all down to Dom!!
Downs another Ped in his memory.

The other thing that Dravid has to answer for, in my opinion, is his decision to bowl after winning the toss. No one has asked him why, though I expected Dean Jones to do so either at the toss or at the prize distribution.
They did ask, and he did answer.
