You know, you don't have to rub it in.Neil Pickup said:Then attempt to make posts containing more intelligence and discretion than an MS Dhoni innings.
Wow it only took you 16,000 posts to make your mind up.Langeveldt said:Udal today proved that you can't predict anything in sport, ever.. making pretty much the whole of cricket chat totally pointless..

Of their last 7 completed series they've 2 wins (Zimbabwe and WI), 4 losses and 1 draw.Pratyush said:Why should South Africa not be ahead of India?
Kaif averaged more than the 4 of them put together!SJS said:Sachin, Yuvraj, Sehwag and Dhoni average between 19.0 and 21.3 (what a narrow band) for the series. I am not surprised one bit. Dissappointed ? Yes massively surprised at how this last day has panned out..NO , not more than the very early end.
Only if Giles isn't fit.TT Boy said:Shaun Udal to start the test series against Sri Lanka?
We've never won in India in my lifetime before. I think I'm entitled to.silentstriker said:You know, you don't have to rub it in.
As Fletcher said, every time they tried to up the rate they lost a wicket so they did the sensible thing and made sure they got runs on the board.adharcric said:You just had to bring that up didn't you. I still maintain that England wasted too much time yesterday
Do you seriously think the bottom 5 (including an injured Sehwag) could've survived for 60odd overs of bowling though?adharcric said:You're just lucky the Indian lineup capitulated like a bunch of idiots.
It's more to do with the county that Giles plays for...wpdavid said:Why are you so confident that Giles wouldn't have taken 4 wickets? He's had plenty of success in the subcontinent previously, apart from when he was well below 100% fit in Pakistan.

I'm only sorry we banned the trolls!
Well Neil wasn't talking about a series win, he was talking about a test Win, which his team won.silentstriker said:Technically, you still haven't won a series in India .

CricInfo said:England's 212-run margin of victory is their highest in India in terms of runs beating the 202-run win at Chennai in 1934.

So, our team of 1934 performed better than our team of 2006. In 1934, we were brand new, with only amateur players and I bet we had some sense of intelligence then. You know, like not slogging a ball straight to panesar TWICE!@!#!@$!@
wpdavid said:Just to rub it it, do we know what India's lowest totals at home are? I'm guessing there haven't been too many less than 100.
Yes, I remember 42ao in England in 1974. But I'd completely forgotten the 75ao at home to WI. Looking at the scorecard, not a great India lineup, it has to be said. Arun Lal, Lamba - who are these people?silentstriker said:http://usa.cricinfo.com/db/ARCHIVE/1980S/1987-88/WI_IN_IND/WI_IND_T1_25-29NOV1987.html
I think this was the lowest at home. Although, we've produced quite a few gems overseas.
He didn't really play a pivotal part, yes he chipped in, as did Hoggard, Anderson and Flintoff (who played the biggest part) in the 100 all out. He took one meaningful wicket and got three freebies at the end when batsmen slogged away and would have gotten out to anyone sooner rather than later.open365 said:Isn't cricket just the best game ever?
It's got to be the best sport for players getting their time in the spotlight, every player get's a chance to shine, look at Udal today, completely useless for the most part, yet he plays a pivitol part in England's victory and gets the spotlight.
