***Official*** England in India

England don't need to ball all the 90 overs though as Sivaramakirshnan pointed out, if the time is up. 3 runs off the first 4 balls. A 4 or six now?

166 in 20 - sounds like a 20/20 equation. Fred bowling yorkers, be hard to get it, what with no field restrictions and the like.

Sivaramakrishnan now says the minimum of 90 stands despite the time. He has got me all confused. I always thought it was indeed this way.

Its more psychological than practical
Exactly. It's a smart move by Dravid/Chappell to wrest the pyschological initiative going into Mohali. And it gives Pathan batting practise if Indians play 5 bowlers at Mohali.

Aren't you English fans glad there's some excitement in this match now? Even if it means India might pull off a miracle :)

Damn it, never mind. Well Pathan got some batting pratice, that's for sure. 35 in no time. Now Tendulkar and/or Laxman can find their rythm.

All credit to India here. It's a cliche, but in any sport one should try to do what the oppo want least. & After a long day flogging themselves in the sun I'd guess the last thing England would want is a 20/20 style scenario tacked on.

Interesting to see Harmy crank the pace up there too, a couple of deliveries well over 90mph. Shows he bowls within himself most of the time.

I'm quite surprised that England did panic so soon and sent everyone on the boundary. 150+ runs ahead, I'd still be attacking.

It's Freddie's first match as captain at any level. I think he has done a great job so far.
