***Official*** England in India

Power cut in halls means I've missed large portions of this. :@

Luckily I'm now on campus so I have internet access before my 11am lecture. Not looking brilliant for England, but we've fought hard (in some cases) and Cook's innings was promising. Hopefully GoJo and Colly can get us to the close, and we can do a spot of rebuilding with the tail tomorrow. :)

Now Sehwag and Kumble, the weakest fielders in the Indian side, are now diving and saving lots of runs.

And Irfan gets a leg-before! Tight one, good line, good height, but just narrowly misses the bat.

And of course, there's that disgusting claymation ad for Hutch right after.

Kumble is bowling his wrong-un beautifully. Bowling it often too but they still can't pick it.

Collingwood has done well today. Grafted out all day, but that's what you have to do sometimes.

I find it very interesting that 4 English wickets have fallen to the pacers. Very interesting indeed.

Star planning what you will do with the money then! Good catch to have some one agree to this! :D
No one agreed really, I place most of my cricket (and most sporting) bets on bet365.com.

Odds were good, put it just before Freddy fell. Once he fell odds for a win and under 340 fell. Got it just in time :D

At least 400, at least!

The outfield is ridiculously fast and the pitch is flat. Indians have just used the swing well, bowled tightly and had smart field settings.

Irfan's varying his pace. Not quite the high 130's we expected, but we may have seen the last of those extended spells of ove 120, and one inswinger had the fielders interested, but wasn't given leg-before.

What do we reckon a par score on this pitch is?
Would change as pitch deterioates. Ideally team batting first (hence likely to bowl last has a huge advantage.

450 would be parI would say.

Despite assistance to spinners, the pitch hasn't been horrific so far.

England's batting is really lowsy, they have struggled so far in this innings on a pitch on which a score less than 350 is very unsafe.

With such batting lineup England will struggle on most part of the world.

Third consecutive Test 50 for Collingwood, how much is the pitch wearing (looking at the footmarks etc.)?

As I've said before England's batting is russian roulette stuff - the percentages are in their favour if the pitch is helpful to bowlers, but on ultra-flat pitches getting 300-400 in the first innings isn't too clever.
