As for the f-u, he said it after Pietersen told him he's out. As if that makes it more acceptable.8-)

Also, I'm not sure Pietersen would be able to beat up Harbhajan.
Pietersen is clearly stronger and bigger, but Harbhajan is one fiery son-of-a-***** who would probably attack the hell out of KP before the fight even started.
He also would be equipped with a weapon - the doosra.

Telling someone they are out after you bowl them and they aren't leaving the crease is hardly a menacing comment.

Mahmood needs to be dropped from the England side completely and spend one or two seasons playing county cricket as a regular, which i think would happen if he was allowed to spend some time in domestic cricket.
I dont really see the parallels to Anderson in this regard, Anderson was frequently in the England home test squads then left out as 12th man and taken on tours but not getting a game, this hasn't happened with Mahmood, Lancs have just not picked him very often. That will change this year because we don't have 2 overseas players.

Bhajji's behaviour was very ordinary indeed. He just stood there looking all round him and at the umpire. It looked very silly. If he had an issue he should have walked up to the umpire and said what he felt or asked if he had a doubt about how he was out (it was very clear that he was bowled). But to just stand there not moving for so long was first funny and then irritating and though one didnt see it on TV its not surprising that one of the English players asked him to get a move on. He was bowled damn it. Bhajji's response as reported was very clear and seen by millions and very very ordinary behaviour indeed.

I'm not Pakistani pal, so your jibes really don't concern me but is Munaf Patel a better bowler than Rana Naved and even Sami for that matter in the one day arena. From what I have seen of him in the past two games no, Naved might be costly but he takes wickets and Sami’s average and economy rate in one day cricket is more than respectable. Sure Patel has played only two games but to say he is better than two proven cricketers in the one day arena is laughable, wait until he does something then we can talk.
Sami's economy rate is just less than 5 per over which is anything but respectable.

Sami cannot be compared with Munaf as Munaf has just started his career, which looks to be very bright, while Sami is near the end of his career(even if he's picked again he would lose his way again soon).

I wholeheartedly agree William, hes very wayward, but has pace, bounce and the ability to swing the ball.

Acuracy can come with more games played, hopefully.

There was no way Harbhajan could have known that he was bowled and not stumped. Look at the clip again, he didn't turn back until Prior came up front. He just didn't believe that Piertson could've turned the ball so much. Anyway, this behavior is quite common in the Australian team, but of course they're quite immune to punishment or censure from ICC and fans alike.

Yeah, he looked awfully silly but it's not like he had 0% reason to react like that. Prior was standing up and his gloves were very close to the stumps when Bhajji got bowled, so maybe he thought it was a stumping attempt. He even looked back to the square leg umpire, albeit after an eternity. Silly for sure, but he didn't just do it to be annoying.

Hopefully Dhoni's absence makes the management go in with 6 specialist batsman, because we really need to give Rao another opportunity and develop both Raina and Rao as international standard part-time bowlers. Uthappa will get his debut here and Sehwag & Kaif should be played again. Giving them a rest here might give some the chance to say "you didn't give them enough opportunities". Furthermore, there's a chance at least one of them will strike form in the final ODI. Let's hope so. VR Singh should get another match because Munaf and RP Singh have both had two already this series. Yuvraj and Harbhajan deserve a rest. Karthik gets a well-deserved chance here; hopefully he impresses with the gloves standing up to Powar so the team management realizes that Dhoni needs to improve in that department. If Karthik scored big runs here, that would be a rather interesting situation on our hands.

I hope he fails, nothing personal against him though , but i don't want him to do great.

You see i have English team's interest at heart too!

Well in a different era Karthik could have played for India, but there's just no comparison with Dhoni. Dhoni is ranked in top 5 among ODI batsmen in the world. Just no way that Karthik can replace dhoni, unless he's injured. He's going to be an all-time great -- India's Gilchrist!

Fair enough he was confused as to what had happened so his standing there looking confused the way he did was possibly understandable, even if he did look ridiculous. However his saying F*** U was was just puerile, the kind of reaction you would expect from a stroppy 12 year old.

Actually in the current climate, just under 5 is acceptable when also taking wickets.

If they can't be compared, why did you bring them up in the first place?

Oh yes, that's right, it's part of your anti-Pakistan crusade.

And how is being 25 near the end of a career?
