He must've been in utter disbelief that he had gotten bowled by someone like KP, so he assumed the keeper had knocked off the bails and looked to the square-leg umpire. Not as big a deal as people are making it out to be.

He's only played 49 games as well - amazing how he's got that record almost without being noticed!

It does baffle me how Bracken, Pollock, Pathan and McGrath can be so successful in ODIs, whilst Hoggard - who is England's equivalent 80mph swing bowler, is less use than a hot water bottle would be in Jamshedpur today.

First thought was maybe it's a length thing - but Pathan & Bracken are equally full, maybe a reverse swing thing - no, Hoggy can do that - maybe it's cutters and slower balls, nope (ask Veeru). I don't get it.

I think its purely got to do with the fact that England made up its mind that he wasnt good for ODI's and just didnt play him often enough. I see no reason why he shouldnt be better in ODI's except that he doesnt bowl in ODI situations (the field placings the mad batsmen etc) often enough.

That and the fact that he is a bit too relaxed. He seems to be smiling even when he is being hoicked to mid wicket off perfectly pitched deliveries. He lacks the tense-ness (for want of a better word) needed for ODI's.

The future of English bowling does look bright, Mahmood / Plunkett and Anderson all have alot of potential, although the former 2 are still a way off getting anywhere near the main side on a regular basis.

If only we could produce a proper spinner!

Yeah the criticism and sarcasm was totally stupid.These guys are totally new to International cricket, Pakistan own bowling attack got a hammering when India toured Pakistan recently, and they have guys playing for their team since a long time yet they got thrashed.
