How on earth can you compare five years of stagnation with five months of innovation? If you're complaining about Test defeats against Pakistan and England, well, that's nothing compared to a Test SERIES defeat at home against the Aussies, an ODI loss to Bangladesh (of all teams of that time) and more Test losses to Pakistan even before?JustTool said:Sure. Why don't you give me a hint. Losing Tests to England and Pakistan you mean ? Or the ugliness with Ganguly. Or - why isn't MUNAF in the TEAM TODAY ? And as for today, I do hope someone does something the last few overs...
Look Indian fans have always found reason to cheer and make merry. "Never ask for more when you can get less" is the motto.
I am not really trying to judge Indian innings, in the morning conditions are good for seam bowlers and Anderson is always going to be dangerous in those conditions. So I am not really dissapointed with our batting. After few hours when the moisture is gone, the pitch becomes batting friendly and that has been the trend in the subcontinent. That's why I said 215 on batting friendly pitches should be easy unless England make it tough.andyc said:Take a look at the Sri Lanka-Pakistan game. Sri Lanka all out for 185, then Pakistan all out for 176. I've no idea what the conditions are like where they're playing, so I could very well be wrong, but you shouldn't judge the Indian innings until you've seen the English one.
Calm down. It's ONLY a game.Arjun said:How on earth can you compare five years of stagnation with five months of innovation? You want more, don't you? Well that's what Chappell is giving you, so be thankful for that. His freak tactics (to many) are a fresh breath in an already stale Indian setup– then again, is that what you want?
An ODI loss to Bangladesh where your fav. players were playing, so no that's not tough to handle neither is the loss to Australia, They are the no. 1 team in the world right now.Arjun said:How on earth can you compare five years of stagnation with five months of innovation? The Worcestershire seamer is known to rely on batting errorsArjun said:Look at this now. Already Blackwell is a star performer with the ball, and so is Kabir Ali. The Worcestershire seamer is known to rely on batting errors and uneven bounce. If the bits-and-pieces bowlers have had a field day so far, why can't Suresh Raina and Sehwag? Anyway, the Indians are only playing four bowlers.
Funny how you don't cheer for any boundaries hit but keep bashing India when they get out.JustTool said:Dhoni - the great Indian and Chappell hope - gone for 20. It's up to Bhajji now...
Isn't India batting right now ? IfSo, how can Raina and Sehwag bowl right now ? And Kabir Ali is a bits-and-pieces bowler, isn't he ??Arjun said:Look at this now. Hang on, that ODI los to Bangladesh only featured three greenhorns, who did little wrong, while the India regulars fell far short of expectations. Agarkar, Karthik, Ganguly, Dino and Sriram are not my favourites anyway. As for the Number 1 team in the world, they WON the series against a FULL-STRENGTH Indian side (no freak tactics then, just the tried and tested) as against and England side that was just lucky to square the Test series against a new-look Indian side.Sanz said:An ODI loss to Bangladesh where your fav. players were playing, so no that's not tough to handle neither is the loss to Australia, They are the no. 1 team in the world right now.
You're welcoming me to the club that I started? There goes Bhajji.JustTool said:Welcome to the Srinath-Haters Club. You can be president for this series. There will be a condolence meeting 20 minutes after every ODI.
203/8 in 46 overs and you want me to cheer a boundary. Geez - what's wrong with Indian fans - will they accept rubbish ?Pratyush said:Funny how you don't cheer for any boundaries hit but keep bashing India when they get out.
I thought you admonished me for whining too much about Srinath. Can't really remember - almost every Indian fan on this board has admonished me for not cheering failures etc.adharcric said:You're welcoming me to the club that I started? There goes Bhajji.
Stop your Indian obsession. It is lame.JustTool said:203/8 in 46 overs and you want me to cheer a boundary. Geez - what's wrong with Indian fans - will they accept rubbish ?
That admonishment was because you're supposed to whine about Srinath in the thread created specially for that purpose. Anyways, there goes Sreesanth. Damn every time I'm typing a post to you, India lose a tailender. Maybe I should stop talking for you when India are batting.JustTool said:I thought you admonished me for whining too much about Srinath. You really ought to stop bashing India and cheer the 200 they made.Pratyush said:And the inning is over. Even despite some bounce, the Indians should have scored more. Kotla is a small ground and making runs shouldn't be too difficult.
Too late. Probably a good idea nevertheless...adharcric said:That admonishment was because you're supposed to whine about Srinath in the thread created specially for that purpose.
