Why is there such an anit-Hoggard feeling amongst many Cricket fans?

I cant understand why such a good bowler who is such a vital part of the team and has prooved himself to be so gets such a slating from some people

Im not being funny here, I just am interested as to why there is so much anti-Hoggardism
What? Who's anti-Hoggard? There's been several mentions of him in the last couple of pages, and all of them have been praise.

a) He keeps getting Sehwag out
b) I don't like his hair
c) That glitch at the start of his run-up annoys me

I dont mean on here, I mean in general. A lot of cricket fans I talk to, particulary of the older generation always dismiss Hoggard from thier talk of our best Bowlers

Many people (myself included) make snap decisions about players and teams and then stick to them through thick and thin, despite all the evidence to the contrary.

It's called 'human nature' - no-one likes to be proved wrong, hence the excuses.

i think thats a result of the last half hours play, not giving either batsmen anything and sachin got frustrated. It's good to see Jimmy able to keep it tight

Fantastic!!

Tendulkar gone and our bowlers are having a great morning. There is still time for one or two more wickets yet and if we got to tomorrow having taken five then we really would be in the driving seat

what the hell was sachin thinking. harmless delivery way outside off ...
Yeah it should have been a run of the mill leave. He didn't use any feet at all. Just hung the bat out. Shattered.

In the mean time, Yuvi thinks he's superman or something. Just playing hit shots from ball one.

You gotta love Y Singh, I don't think he cares what score it is, his still going to play his shots.

I'd be interested to know if England have actually hit 500 in the last year or so, other than against Bangladesh - haven't done it in India, haven't done it Pakistan, don't think they scored 500 against Australia or South Africa.
First innings scores for both England and the other team:
Eng 400 India 37-3 so far
Eng 300 India 338
Eng 393 India 323
Eng 288 Pak 636-8
Eng 446 Pak 462
Eng 418 Pak 274
Eng 373 Aus 367
Eng 477 Aus 218
Eng 444 Aus 302
Eng 407 Aus 308
Eng 155 Aus 190
