***Official*** England in India

RolledOver

U19 Debutant
Hello Guys!

I my post on this forum is about my fav team India taking on the English team on the second test match:) .

I think India will beat English team this time around, the agressiveness in Indian team can be judge by the fact that India has left out a player like Kaif to accomodate an express fast bowler in Munaf Patel so that India can take 20 English wkts. This way India will be a batsman short but its bowling will be hell strong as it will be going into the match with 5 bowlers!!

I think the five bowlers will be , Irfan,MUNAF,Kumble,CHAWLA and Harbhjajan.

This test might see the emergence of two players that will reach new heights in cricket in future. One is Munaf Patel who is the first express fast bowler from India, and the other one is Chawla, a true allrounder , something that India has been looking for sometime now.

My Best wishes with the Indian team.

Well to be fair England do have an all-rounder coming in at number 10... Harmison's stats since just before the 2nd Test against WI in July 2004:

Code:
Mat Runs HS BatAv 100 50

filtered 20 301 42 [B]16.72[/B] 0 0

Harmy an all rounder  and Yuvi and Dhoni ODI batsmen....I am seriously left scratching my head.

Covers off. match to start at 10.45. If I have fooled any one who has slept, sorry. :D

EDIT - I am informed Rich (Langeveldt) has in fact gone to sleep expecting a long delay.

Whatever, screw them all. People like you (Indians in India) and I (Indians in America) can enjoy the action.

Come on lads, let's get a score on the board first up. Would like to see Straussy get some runs, we need him back in nick. Cookie can't get all our runs. :)

Good for India, Fred wins the toss and then hands over the advantage to India. :) IMO India have made a mistake by going with 3 spinners.

I doubt any captain (yes even Ponting) would've chosen to field Sanz, rightly or wrongly, just too risky.
Exactly - can you imagine England wanting to bat last on a pitch that's turning against three spinners? I can't.

Congratulations to Fred on becoming a father again, incidentally - we have what this country wanted, a Son of Fred. Shame his name's Corey.

Onya Fred. :)

Well, the test match hasn't even started and you are thinking about the 4th innings. With so much rain and more rain predicted in next few days, I dont think this pitch is going to break and just look at what Hoggard did on the 3rd morning @ nagpur when he got some assitance from pitch.
