Although still only in the 3rd over, England seem to be able to pick singles at will atm. India need to tighten up a bit.

I already saw a handful at 85. He must be building up.SpaceMonkey said:77-80mph with a few slightly faster / slower ofcourse.
I've heard he used to be express but cut down to become more accurate. I think he's still pretty fast though, let's wait before we come to conclusions about his speed. Most bowlers build up the pace.Sanz said:Wasn't this guy supposed to be our new pace messiah who could consistently bowl @ 145 kmph ?
Have to remember its his first test match. Nerves will be there in handfuls id imagineBarney Rubble said:And he's The Fastest Bowler In India (TM)?
No, he's not the fastest. I believe Abid Nabi is the fastest, followed by Vikram Singh. Patel is up there. VR Singh was preferred to Munaf probably because of his additional pace, but Munaf showed what he could do in the warmup match.Barney Rubble said:And he's The Fastest Bowler In India (TM)?
They showed the warm up match wickets he got on Sky while they were waiting for the game to start. The pitch looked very green and most of his wickets were from swinging / seaming the full ball into the batsmen. Unless it was reverse swing, he wont find anywhere near that in this test match.adharcric said:No, he's not the fastest. I believe Abid Nabi is the fastest, followed by Vikram Singh. yeah cricinfo said he worked some reverse swing in their match reports if i recall correctly. if it was a greentop, why was he the only bowler who picked up a good number of wickets?SpaceMonkey said:They showed the warm up match wickets he got on Sky while they were waiting for the game to start. Good question but it looked pretty green to me, certainly more green than we'll ever see in any test match this series.adharcric said:yeah cricinfo said he worked some reverse swing in their match reports if i recall correctly. if it was a greentop, why was he the only bowler who picked up a good number of wickets?
