Your'e showing your age Eddie.

(and your lack of musical taste)
I first saw Yes live when they were still 'Perhaps'.

Strangely enough, I've just driven back from Wolverhampton this evening and played 'Journey to the Centre of the Earth' on the way home, so you're right on both counts.

Tomorrow, it'll be Emerson, Lake and Palmer or Deep Purple or even (shock horror probe) The Aynesley Dunbar Retaliation.

I hope so, three Durham players in the England side could become a fairly common occurrence.
At least that means that Harmison will have a couple who understand him (I was going to say ".... be able to have an intelligent conversation" at first).

Now you've got me with the ADR - did they really exist, or are you just taking the p**s?
To be honest, I never heard a lot of Yes' material anyway, so I'm going on reputation here. I remember a wonderful piece by Danny Baker in the NME that included a spoof Yes lyric - "Battleships Yeah" or somesuch. His theory was that, post-Wakeman, Jon Anderson would give any prospective keyboarder a set of his lyrics and instruct him to try and put a tune to them as some kind of worthiness test. Baker's takeoff of Anderson's writing was hilarious, but unfortunately it was chucked in a post-getting-married clearout some years ago. Anyway, we digress.

well i hope i'm proven wrong, but if Plunkett plays i can't see him troubling the Indian batsmen. But I'd rather have him in than Ian Blackwell.

anyway, Blackwell for next series of celebrity fit club?

I CHALLENGE YOU THAT INDIA WILL DESTROY ENGLAND JUST LIKE THEY DESTROY THEM IN FREEDOM FIGHT IN 1947."
Did someone really say that?! That's rubbish. Absolute rubbish.

Oh, they existed all right - 'Remains to be Heard' is one of my favourite vinyl albums - must get it on CD.

Aynsley Dunbar is probably the greatest drummer who ever lived - and his website is a must for skin-beating fans the world over.

For a start, Lara has had several breaks in his career, and Inzamam has played a lot less.
Rubbish. The difference between the number of matches Tendulkar played till 2004 end and the number of matches Inzamam has played right now cannot be described as a lot less.

Anderson ahead of Plunkett for mine, even if he is rubbish with the bat.
Yep, Anderson showed some form at the end of the Pakistan one dayers that i hadnt seen from him since he first came into the side. Plunkett showed promise but was very raw. Its pretty much a no brainer!

Plus India cannot even get the rubbish tailenders out. They all become Bradmans when they are playing our attack. ;)

I saw the pitch at Mohali on a TV broadcast from a station from India called Sun TV which is picked up by Satellite dish here.

It looks like a real dry dust bowl to me .:)

Kumble, Bhaji and Monty Panesar should be in business big time .:)

What?????? Its suppose to be a green top, atleast one of them is, and is suppose to help fats bowlers.

India is already thinking of playing Gujarat Express inplace of Bhajji

107 versus 120 - that's a pretty big difference.

As you say, there appear to be two wickets in contention - one a green top, the other already looks like crazy paving. Now which one are India really likely to use?

Fats bowlers maybe we should keep Blackwell in the side then.

The groundsmen said that even the other pitch will be helpful for the seamers.

I don't think that India can't win on a greentop, it is possible, i'm sure Srisanth,Munaf,Irfan won't have any problem playing on a greentop pitch, but i think our batsmen are a bit allergic to grass, and facing Flintoff and hoggard on a greentop might be a bit scarry!!
