Just whatever they have at the end today. They should approach this as the last 15 overs of an ODI (since India aren't going to bowl their quota, as Boycott says the slow over rates situation is a cheats' charter).
Good prediction there.

This partnership isn't even scoring at 3 an over yet. England are just giving overs away tomorrow which is just unforgiveable.
The chances are that if England had tried declaring and bowling the quicks with the New Ball tonight that India would've had the light.

He didn't say that. He said they'd want to declare overnight (or earlier), which they may not now be able to do. If we have to bat tomorrow, it's our fault.

That said, we *should* be safe because they did pick up the pace later on.

Go for Blackwell I think. Pitch would definitely fall apart if he did an Afridi shuffle on it and it probably doesn't matter too much if he gets banned anyway...
ROLFMAO

Can the English appeal if his ban is only a Test or 2 and insist he gets more harshly treated?

So why exactly does Kaif deserve dropping then?

8-)
because no-one could possibly even think of dropping Tendulkar, despite only scoring 640 runs in his last 15 tests vs decent opposition (ie not B'desh) at an average of a shade over 29...so Kaif has to go, despite his 91 in the first innings..it make perfect sense Marc!!!!

Sehwag will be key if india have any chance of winning. But he always disappoints me! he rarely does well aginst teams other than pakistan. Thats not a trademark of a great batsman. I hope he does well, but to be honest i really think that the english fans should not be worried about him at all.

hope sehwag proves me wrong!
Virender Sehwag in the 4th match innings - 13 innings, 286 runs @ 26.00, 0x100, 1x50.

Good statting! That says a lot, that one. :)
it does...so does the fact that India have scored more than 265 once in the fourth innings of a test since 1992 (something like that anyway)....

England are safe!!!

The only chicken I'm going to count is the one that's cooking in the curry for tonight's dinner - but an Indian win certainly seems as likely as me getting sunburnt today.

Yea, just a cakewalk to chase 368 down 4.09 an over at really when India managed 323 at a run-rate of 2.36 in their first innings.

well, if u say it like dat, england did not do too well either. If it wasnt for collingwood they would have been all out for 270 odd. Yet, thy managed to play really well in the 2nd innings. India can do that as well.

India look low on confidence, if they try and win the game they will only enhance their chances of losing.

Should India avoid defeat tomorrow, I believe they can thank the 8th wicket stand of Kaif and Kumble yesterday.

That argument holds no weight at all - we can just as easily say "if it wasn't for Kaif, India would have been all out for about 240" and then you're back to square one.

What a performance by England batsman. England cant lose this one, hope Flintoff doesn't waste any more time in the morning and puts India to bat.

I think England has 95 % chance of winning this one. Sehwag is out of form for a while, I have no faith in anyone else except Dravid and he cant win it alone, he may be able to pull off a draw though and I dont want a draw.

England would be wise to declare overnight and give India the temptation to go for a win. That'll lead to stupid aggression and England will have less difficulty bowling them out in such circumstances. India should go for the draw, this batting needs to sort itself out and we're better off taking a fresh start in the 2nd test.
No, no, no!

Remember Bangalore last year?

If they play for a draw, we might see all of them going into a shell and being easy picking for the English bowlers. They have to attack the bowlers and get the fields spread out, then take it easy. Just the same way the English batsmen did it against the Indians today.
