Think India will get close to 400 here unless we get the ball reversing. Need some sweets off Faf I reckon.

Interesting how straight away they are showing some respect to Rashid but they have decided Ansari is toilet and can get after him.
They're not bad judges, are they.

And yup, I know it goes with the territory, but judging by the way the pitch is likely to deteriorate, the toss has probably ensured a home victory in this one unless India decide to collapse spectacularly this afternoon.

Judging by the way the pitch is likely to deteriorate.....
I could have picked anybody's statement on this, as many (not only on this forum) have been made.

Will this pitch deteriorate? Well, it probably will, but by what standards? I guess I've been hearing this too many times now. It didn't happen during the first test. This ground is, afaik, new to test cricket. So, what do we know? Might as well stay reasonably good for 3 or 4 days, not?

That is the thing, it looks a good pitch to bat on right now. No idea what it will be like in 2 days time.

At least there were some cracks in the first one but as the days gone by, for some reason, the grass grew more and the cracks did not really open up

Fun Stat:

To reach Pujara's average Kohli will have to score a cool 623*

He may need to score quicker if he wants to get there anytime soon

Well tbf the Curator has said it'll spin big from day 2. I'll wait until it actually happens before calling it a ****ing joke of a surface and declaring the result null & void.
