Rahane and Vijay play it occasionally. I guess there are a lot more shots to be played nowadays so you don't have to sweep necessarily. Is it just me or does no Indian batsman play the sweep shot against spinners at home these days? The previous generation used to bring the shot out every now and then but these guys seem averse to the idea.
Yup, he might need to do a Steve Waugh and just shelf the hook stroke, unless he's already got his hundred.Adil dropped one in Rajkot too, didn't he?
Kohli needs to sort out his pulls. Bat doesn't get high enough and/or balance is missing too many times.
Yup. Comedy fielding from England yet again; we're so far behind the southern hemisphere countries in this respect that you do wonder what the hell goes on with our players. Bayliss must be feeling homicidal.Ah ****.
No he doesn't. He should not play it until he looks in command over the bounce in a pitch. He looks great in overseas pitches when he does it but the bounce in the Indian pitches cannot be trusted easily for the shot. Maybe its okay to play in Chennai where the bounce is predictable and consistent.Adil dropped one in Rajkot too, didn't he?

Others have to deal with the same conditions and they look better than he does. Pujara looks as awkward in balance, but he has the sense to keep the ball down when pulling. Kohli does that and the problem is gone. The bounce is quite unpredictable here though, that's true.No he doesn't. He should not play it until he looks in command over the bounce in a pitch. He's had a couple of shouts, hasn't he. Maybe he'll pose a serious threat to any new batsmen if we manage to split this pair.Moeen looks good.
