If i hear a pundit in the next preseason talking up the Bears "strong top order" I will ****ing murder them. But you know the likes of Cork who don't pay any attention will be rattling on about that again. Yep we do have a strong top order in white ball cricket for the most part. But in red ball it has been nothing short of disgusting. I want 3 new batsmen. How about we sign some ****ing foreigner like every other tin pot club does. Somerset barely have an English bloke playing some weeks.
Slightly bitter quote there, 5 of our top 6 English, even if Myburgh and Allenby played that probably means VDM wouldn't.

Yeah was very bitter, especially as Somerset have a few good young English players. Wonder how many sides don't have a kolpak like us at the moment though. Can't be many.

Step forward Somerset's Dom Bess, who took 6-28 on his County Championship debut on Tuesday.

How did he come to bowl off-spin?

"I was always a little porker when I was younger, so I never took the long run-up," he said.

"I always took five or six steps and just trotted in."
Inspirational stuff.

Which of your top order would you keep?

Well I would gladly have him at Hampshire, still young, you have got to allow him a bad season.

Pretty happy with the way Hampshire have played the last couple of months, still in with a chance to save ourselves but even if we go down fairly confident about what our younger players could do in division two.

Everything coming up white roses this morning with Durham flopping from 220/4 to 265 all out, while Notts start building a three digit lead.

Jake Ball continuing to be sided with the good guys, wicket in the first over of Middlesex's chase.

Lyth has passed 1000 runs from the summer with an unbeaten ton - think he is enjoying 2016 a bit more than he enjoyed 2015, even if he is getting paid less

I have the Yorks-Durham match on one tab and the Middlesex-Notts match on the other, and both Durham and Middlesex keep losing the same wickets at the same time. It's uncanny.

Also, it's awesome.
