Saqlain was lucky. He was plumb LBW off Rafiq but was not given by Ashoka. BTW, i heard Athar Ali Khan ( Former Bangla player turned Commentator) saying that umpiring is very ordinary in this match. Ashoka is living up to his reputation :cool2:
Ah, good old asoka. will he ever get any worse? If he denys bangladesh victory here i will go insane.:!(

Saqlains century was against NZ on a pitch which was as flat as a new motorway against a NZ attack that was one of its poorest in recent times aswell as the fact that both Matthew Sinclair & Yousuf Youhana had managed to score double hundreds on it.

Pakistan have won the final match of the series by one wicket to wrap up the series

Bangladesh battled to the end taking a wicket with only four more runs remaining with another runout involving Inzy. Inzamam's inninngs really showed endurance and determination under so much pressure by scoring 138 not out.

Well Pakistan edge to the win with 1 wicket to spare.

So it seems Inzamam still has some fuel in the tank with a well played century, it was quite a difficult period towards the end.

Im sure Dav Whatmore will be extremely disappointed..Bangladesh came so close but I guess lack of experience in these situations cost them.

Well, the better team deservedly won... What are Bangladesh's next series? I still cant see them winning one for a long time to come, but at least they are showing some progress...

dont worry lads, they came closer than ever...even though they were playing a below par pakistani lineup but this is good for bothe teams as both got valuable expoerience

If a flying pig told me that Bangladesh would have done this well, I would have shot it and eaten it. :D

Congrats to Bangladesh!

I'm serious.

Look at his WC stats:

36.5 overs : 6 wickets @ 24.16 : 3.93 econ : 36.8

Those are pretty decent figures. I saw him bowl and he looked a thinking bowler. His change of pace and length was very effective and thoughtful.

I'm not calling him a great bowler, or even good. I said he's a "useful" bowler.
As I said.
