Rajin Saleh looks pretty good to me...60 odd with the bat & 3 wickets?
yeah and his FC stats are very impressive as well much better than all of his team mates.

Rajin is, apparently, not the most gifted of players but one who more than makes up for it with unbridled determination and guts - just the kind of thing that Bangladesh need in their situation.

But Corruption runs a lot deeper than just nepotism...
True, but i'm still unaware of corruption in PCB in the past 10 odd years, Zia though is doing his level best to turn it into a corrupt unit.

Certain Pak players were corrupt, but the board till now was clean!

Board was clean as in how?

I think you are trying to sweep it under the mat ;)

First of all : Congratulations to my buddy Salman Butt on making his test debut. Not a bad debut by any means, scored the second highest runs in the second innings (37 BTW)!

Bangladesh have surely given Pakistan some good fight, something I was honestly not expecting. But Pakistan are rebuilding, and their performances were fine, keeping in view the pitches they were put up  against. The batting remains the week link as ever.

South Africa will probably provide the better yardstick as to where this side stands.

As a side-note, did anyone get his/her hands on Javed Miandads autobiography "The cutting edge" ?

Judging by the results against Bangladesh (admittedly didn't see the series so can't judge performances), Pakistan will get slaughtered by SA if they don't buck their ideas up.

well...you never know the teams in between of aus-zim/ban are all in the same level and none of them are very consistent. So, youll never know wholl win...

In ODI's they are the same level, but not so much in Tests.

It's an intriguing phenomenon whereby he appears to have no life. ;)

Actually he did it in nearly two years, and you have made 180 posts in one month, so multiply that by 22 and you get ~4000, so it's easy to rack up quite a few posts....

Pakistan will probably be fairly challenging for S.A in the ODI's, although I still feel S.A will win...the tests will be a different matter however and if S.A can build on from the positives in England then they'll walk over the current Pakistan team IMO.

IMO, the England series was a negative for them, I hope the team werent satisfied with a draw, i wouldnt have been...

This series is over right?

Can someone unpin this thread and also close it. Can the same be done to the Saf-Eng one?

Eng-SA yeah, this one no as the last ODI was only yesterday.

Another top show from Bangladesh despite a 58-run loss chasing Pakistan's 302.

Hannan Sarkar 50, Rajin Saleh 71 (this kid is good), Alok Kapali 69.

Keep at it. They might just do England.

V Reddy

They might in a one dayer as the Eng team is inexperienced there but they have no chance against Eng in tests. Eng batting is just too good for them in tests.

I dont think the English batting is better then the Pakistanis. And also the Pommie bowling is pathetic. Bangladesh are up with a chance.:)
